Principle Yaga was supposed to be a special grade but he chose to just chill and not fight so he was labeled a grade 1. Mechamaru's healed form can also be labeled a special grade as in the same category as someone that can have an army at his disposal since he can have an army of mechamaru robots plus the fact that his technique can cover all of japan.

I like the duality of how jujutsu society and Kenjaku see special grades. A special grade sorcerer is stated to be someone with an immeasurable power, and special grades cursed spirits are... special, anomalies that go over the numbered tiers, "an air strike MIGHT work" is a pretty good description for how vague this rank is, for jujutsu society a special grade sorcerer is someone who can hunt these curses for a living, a cheat card that can turn any odds by himself. On the other hand, Kenjaku states that special grades are "able to conquer an entire country by themselves", he doesn't see the threshold for the rank as being strong enough protect anyone, but to be able to beat and rule over anyone.

Hakari is a great example of this too; by the society’s standards he would be a special grade; however, in Kenjaku’s standards he falls short of that rank I prefer Kenjaku’s rankings tbh

Kenjaku doesn't have a different opinion than the jujutsu society, if anything he was there back when the whole system was written. The council keeps the definition vague as just "powerful sorcerer", but what Kenjaku states is the proper definition. Special Grade sorcerers are those that can basically wage war on an entire country/jujutsu society by themselves.

Gojo is def not defeating Sukuna. Man gets countered by domain expansion, CT, and likely speed and physical strength too. Toji could dodge some abilities from Gojo back in the day, and by Megumi's standards Toji's speed is similar to, being generous, 5 finger Sukuna. 15 fingers are three times that. Cleave and Dismantle counter Infinity's passive by attacking the enemy directly. As they are not a physical projectile, but rather a CT, Infinity's not stopping them.

Good video man, it seems like you put a lot of effort into it. I don’t see how Kashimo, Uro or Ryu would be considered Special Grade. I mean don’t get me wrong, they are all definitely strong but compared to the other Special Grade Sorcerers they don’t stand a chance. I would give Takaba and Yaga the Special Grade badge because any fight with Takaba will end in a stalemate no matter who he’s up against as long as he finds it funny. And as for Yaga, he can potentially create an army of self replicating, self efficient cursed dolls if he really wanted too all of the level of grade 1 or potentially higher. As for Hana The Angel Kurusu, though you’re right, we haven’t seen her true power the fact that she can extinguish and nullify the techniques of others let’s us know what her abilities are unique and strong enough to potentially be Special Grade. I do agree with Toji/Maki not really being able to be classified as Special Grade due to them not having cursed energy or cursed techniques even if they are on the level of Special Grade in terms of raw power.

Now that Sukuna can use Megumi's technique, and we have so many overpowered characters I think Sukuna will summon Mahoraga, making three boss fights in total And during that I think in one of the chapter ending, Gege will show us a twist of Sukuna eat the last 5 fingers, gaining full power. Basically, here's my guessing on how the story will go. Sukuna summon Mahoraga, everyone gathered in one place, split into three teams fighting Kenjaku/Mahoraga/Sukuna, Gojo released from Prison Realm, Kenjaku defeated, Mahoraga defeated, Sukuna gaining full power, Gojo vs Sukuna, Yuji learned Sukuna's technique and fight Sukuna in the innate domain, Sukuna defeated. ALL of the officially registered Special-grades have been a part of Jujutsu Tech and haven't shown much resistence (Geto being the only exception. Yuta never fought against Jujutsu society, Gojo personally resented it but still cooperated and Tsumiki just minded her own business).

Takaba definitely deserves to be on this list. He theoretically can solo the entire JJK universe, and can do so relatively realistically compared to others simply because of how much of an anomaly his Comedian is. Comedian makes Takaba what is essentially a bonafide trickster god that is only limited by his imagination and comedic wit. And since he almost always finds stuff funny, his Comedian truly makes him nigh invincible. Even without his technique, Takaba has overwhelming amount of cursed energy at his disposal. He is probably only this strong because of some binding vows (probably something along the lines of being super strong but the tradeoff is he doesn't know his technique and also that Comedian only works in the super specific circumstance when Takaba finds something to be funny). Another possible binding vow is that he is granted unfathomable power but the tradeoff is that he cannot kill anyone (this was possibly alluded to when he said the whole "I wouldn't want to do something to permanently take away someone's smile). But we wont know until we know I guess. Even if he doesn't have any binding vows to make him stronger, his technique and how his personality works in tandem with said technique alone should make him a Special Grade.

Even without being able to protect your ears, Cursed Speech scales to the cursed energy of the user and in any instance that they attempt to use the ability on someone/something stronger than them, it destroys their throat.... Whereas Takaba has a CT that was instantly compared to Gojos infinity, the most broken ability within the entire series. This is a good video but there is one small issue with it : we have a definition for what Special Grade are, and it's the ability to take over a country. For people from the past, like Kashimo or Kenjaku, that haven't been classified, it may or may not be true (I don't think Kashimo fits it but Kenjaku does easily). However, for people like Hakari for example, he isn't special grade for a reason : he cannot take over a country alone. No matter if he's stronger than Yuta or Geto (he's not even really stronger than Yuta) : they can take out a country, he cannot, and that doesn't comes down to strength alone.

I think Hakari needs to be more creative in using his abilities. Well he can use the visual effect indicators without opening the domain like he did to Yuji. I def think there is a lot of creative ways to use it, even in jackpot mode. Like the door could ve been used as a shield and as a platform to stand on, as he was falling to the ocean after he changed the barrier coordinates and deactivated the domain.

Gojo didnt awaken the limitless when he almost died by Toji. He gained access to reverse curse technique which made him understand cursed energy on a higher level, and gave him the power to use red and subsequently purple. Then after the fight he trained himself to always have infinity on since he healed with RCT and made limitless able to discern between threats. Gojo shows us that even being given the best techniques you still have to train at using them.

as people have mentioned, yaga could've been special grade if he went sicko mode and just shat out cursed puppets like panda, some also mention mecha as he's essentially the opposite of toji and maki but only really special grade levels when he gets rid of the restriction in which he can affect all of japan with his massive output and also be able to fight with his own body though this only comes hours before his death. The joke guy also deserves a spot because I think if he found it funny he could shart on gojo. Some people say that Hikari shouldn't count because he's not always at the level of railing everybody in the series but he can essentially force jackpot and once it hits he's immortal and can slam you with max output infinitely for as long as he stays in the jackpot chain. if only he could slam out black flashes with maxed output, that would be demonic

Awesum video! just a couple things, Uro and Ryu are Special grades in their own right, but they aren't "on par" with Yuta, Yuta faught them both at the same time while also trying not to kill them, AKA, GUGE power diff. Also, put some respect on best girl Yuki T.T she mostly lost to Kamo bc by Kamo's own admition it was a mistake to follow Tenge's plan and didn't use her domain T.T (now tell me... what your type of women?). Also, I believe Kamo is strong and a Special grade in the way Shoko Ieiri also is, their mastery of curse technique is so high they can do some impossible sounding things, (also, where is Ieiri on this list), but I think he's just strong as a fighter as the body he posses (same way Tenge is good in a fight). On the same thought if Gojo gets out and is defeted by Kamo it will probably again be a joint effort, maybe he will team up with Sukuna or something. Sukuna is special grade curse, not sorcerer lol. Yuta was posibly being humble or trying to hype up Akari so Yuji and Megumi agree to go find him, bc Akari would only be able to match up to Yuta using his domain and also would need to get a jackpot, but that would be impossible since Yuta would never let him and would problay win the domain battle anyway so Akari wouldn't try in the first place.

During Kokichi's fight with Mahito, Kenjaku / Geto says that during that fight, Kokichi had special Grade levels of cursed energy. Considering that during that fight, he had a chance of killing both Mahito and Geto, had immense cursed energy output, and the range of the entirety of Japan, I'd say he could also be considered special grade I am also biased as fuck because I really like Kokichi

The special grade argument is a rough one due to there being 2 different criteria’s to go off of. The jujutsu society’s and Kenjaku’s. Personally, I prefer Kenjaku considering he’s made the society useless atp. Using that criteria though leaves extremely strong entities like Hakari out of special grade and placed into special grade 1 with people like Naobito. Which is what makes this argument rough because just like you, I would place Kashimo as a special grade, but only because of Kenjaku’s statement and Kashimo has showcased abilities making it hard to deny he could destroy or overthrow a country. Hakari I feel falls short of that in terms of potent offensive power, yet he is capable of destroying Kashimo. Basically, Kenjaku’s statement makes the powerscaling feel like HxH whereas the Society’s simplifies everything by just ranking all the strong people together and leaving no differentials between them

I dont think a special grade is something that is just X is stronger than Y thus is special grade . I think its important to note what we have been told is they are someone who could take over a country if they wanted. Geto because he at all times had an army, yuta because Rika is basically unkillable and that he could in theory copy another special grades power . I dont think someone like kashimo from what we have seen has displayed anything like that. His cursed energy manipulation is incredible in a fight but i dont think its something that would threaten the world quite like a special grade gone rogue couls

This video is applying far too liberal of a definition to Special grade. Its treating Special Grade as just one level higher that 1st grade which it isn’t “Special Grade is a rank reserved for anomalies within the jujutsu community. It is reserved for sorcerers with such immense strength that their destructive potential is immeasurable, making them very exclusive and unique cases” I definitely wouldn’t call Ryu or Uro Special grade for sure, keeping up with yuta (who regularly admits to having a weak body) is not a proper bar for having “immeasurable strength,” and while compelling arguments for Kashimo were made, I think without knowing his CT, that call can’t be made quite yet

I can't stress it enough, Kokichi Muta had a batshit ton of potential, had he escaped after Mahito healed him he would've been busted, since he kept the CE from his heavenly restriction with a functioning body. I don't think we've ever been introduced so far to a character with THIS MUCH raw CE at his disposal, not even Yuta and Sukuna "Yuta has more raw CE than Gojo, and Sukuna has at least double the amount of CE Yuta has" honestly, it was stated that Kokichi's reserves could cover the ENTIRETY of Japan . This video HEAVILY misunderstand what it means to be "Special Grade". Special Grade sorcerers ARE NOT based on fighting power. Yes, usually they will also be formidable fighters, but that is not what qualifies a Special Grade. Special Grade means a sorcerer alone is capable of taking down a country or is at least a sufficient threat to jujutsu society. The best example of this is Geto: using his Curse Manipulation he can wage war almost entirely by himself against the ENTIRE Jujutsu Society + Another 2 Special Grades. Making an example of the reverse situation, it's also why 10 Shadow users don't get immediately marked as Special Grade just because they can go full on kamikaze with Mahoraga on anyone - Mahoraga will deal with whoever is nearby, but once there are no other enemies, it WILL kill the user who started the ritual and end things then and there, even though very few people could ever hope to have a fighting chance against it, by itself it doesn't threat Japan, so a 10-Shadows user is not Special Grade by default. This means that people like Hakari, Kashimo, Ishigori and Uro are NOT special grade, even though they can solo 90% of the verse. Yes, they are very strong, but they are not so powerful individually to threaten whole countries, and their cursed techniques do not allow them to do crazy things like creating black holes or raising armies. This does mean, however, that Yorozu is 100% special grade. Principal Yaga is also an unofficial Special Grade because he can, over time, just build his own loyal army with fairly powerful curses. Similarly, Mechamaru was also an undercover special grade or would at least become special grade with time, given the range of his ability and the amount of cursed energy he can store and utilize.

The very idea of a special grade revolves around the fact that 1.) Their destructive potential is immeasurable 2.) They can simple take on a country Having physical prowess and the ability to kill special grade curses are an easy task for grade 1 sorcerers. If you put Maki next to Yuta whose cursed speech copy can alone kill anyone in the range without having to physically fight, Yuki's ability to form mass and create a black hole that can destroy the whole world, Geto who has proven to be able to take on a country with curse spirit manipulation, and Gojo is ofcourse Gojo, the title of a special grade would be a laughing stock

Also taking on special grade for a grade 1 is definitely not an easy task. Nanami who is the poster boy for grade 1 would be destroyed by any disaster curse and mahito whoop him 3 times and killed him in their last encounter. Also todo couldn’t take out mahito or hanami and would get destroyed by jogo.
