Open world switch sports, would also be amazing (not as good as your suggestion) but as I saw the trailers for switch sports I hoped we could explore the surroundings a bit or watch others play while sitting on the benches beside and so much else it would have made switch sports much more alive and better received I think. I am still enjoying switch sports, but it could have been way better.

@@Xoai_Considering how they addressed the lack of content issue with the recent basketball update having more content than its Resort appearance, I have faith as well. They even made sure that Eva and Tyrone were accurate!

1:40 I'm very sure Nintendo would keep the Miis after making a poll with most votes on the Miis. If they really wanted to replace the Miis, I doubt they'd make a poll at all.

Given Nintendo's step to creativity ever since the Mario movie came out (such as _Super Mario Bros. Wonder_ with its level of being unconventional but still representative), I could see a sequel that's at least somewhat like what you propose. Maybe, like SMB Wonder, we'll probably get a NS Sports game that's unconventional in some way. Lastly, if you don't mind, I think that poll with most people picking Miis is a possible (again, we're not sure now) sign that the Miis will stay. But the future is uncertain, so we'll have to wait and see what happens next. Also, does anyone want to picture a NS Sports game taking place in Ancient Rome or something? Or maybe a viking land?

This my first "official" sports game that i own because i use to play wii sports at daycare and sense i left in 2018 I never played a wii sports title ever sense... UNTIL TODAY with Nintendo switch sports

It’s a shame how “lifeless” switch sports feels in its presentation. Would love to see more of a proper follow up to wii sports resort! (Having the game bundled in with the next console could also be great!)

I agree with this video a lot of great ideas, one of my ideas is being able to free roam wu who island to the different sport locations, also being able to level up your mii or sportsmate to getting more cosmetics, I would imagine a new sports game could have a new or a revisied look of wu who island which would not be bad thing

At this point I hope they don’t call it Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. Yes the Wii U was a sequel to the Wii and they called it Wii Sports Club even tho it’s a new console but I don’t think Switch Sports should be the main title. If the next console is Super Nintendo Switch(as it should be)then it should be Super Nintendo Switch Sports. Since I’m already yapping Ima go all out: Release Super Nintendo Switch Sports for free. On the Wii, Sports was tied in on a Disc so for this just have it be pre-installed on the hardware! You can still delete the game at any time and it’s free on the eShop! This game would be all about accessibility to the fanbase and of course it is with such a fee. The Miis are back and better than ever! They could have a great party mode which is perfect for 2 player and 4 player modes and even have a tournament mode. The tournaments can go up to 32 characters and all you need is 2 controllers! You can have up to 32 players but realistically you put some spots with AI. But they go one by one showcasing each 1v1 match of players and/or AI and they skip the AI/AI matches! Then the secondary mode could be one of two things. The first idea of mine is like just an open world! It would be so cool if you could walk around and explore this beautiful town! Do missions and have fun, and it all ties together! Build a capital and spend your money on new Mii cosmetics that if you unlock then you can style your Miis differently for every game! But I don’t think they Should do this because of another idea I’ll go into. But Instead, just have a hub! It’s a nice small area you can wander around in to activate the different modes and the single-player and just overall longterm progression is your league. They could have like amateur to pro leagues or whatever I don’t know but like 5 different levels for each sport and you can speak to like each different trainer at the lobby and just progress through the ranks, just playing the sport would level you up but then maybe once you have all the XP to go up you must speak to your trainer and complete a mission and then you go up. I think the game should launch with a great, solid 10 sports and so you have a tutorial which advances you from league 0 to league 1 and then 5 missions to get to the top means 6 missions to a sport and 60 total missions! So it seems minuscule for each but it would add up for a great amount of content! And rewarding new cosmetics and such would be so cool! Like have coins and when you win tournaments you get them and at the lobby/hub for just one example you can go to a golf shack and purchase different golf clubs or maybe you can save up and purchase a Golf Cart to unlock free roam on each of the golf courses and 4player splitscreen messing around would be so fun! And then like 3 years into the system(I’m projecting if the system had like a 10 year lifespan because I liked how long the switch lasted and I believe technology is maxing out and we only need new systems for new creativity and if we could get to as long as 12 or even 13 years that’s good)but yeah like 3 years into the system they release Super Nintendo Switch Sports: RESORT. This wouldn’t be its own game but would instead be a DLC. I think if the base game is free then this DLC would sell so good! And because the base game is free I think like a $39.99 price tag is justified if not even $59.99! But since it’s prioritizing accessibility it would probably be the $40. But this DLC would be massive and more than double the game. This is where they would add that open world island to explore! They would release a bunch of new sports and probably all of them would be playable for free because the island would be what you really are paying for. Imagine instead of just being able to fly around in the skies and around rocks you can walk around and find a place where you can purchase a plane! You can then pay a landing strip to let you launch your plane each time and then you could free fly around the island and there would be like a Pilot Mii to talk to about specific challenges. But you can even buy your own airstrip which would open up to you being able to upgrade your plane and you wouldn’t have to pay to fly each time and could do it freely! Best of all make this exploration multiplayer so you can all free roam just like you can with the Hub. Now inviting somebody to your hub in online was kind of meh. It was just the gateway to playing a match of up to 4 players or you could do 2 players in the campaign missions! And you could do combined of online with splitscreen together! But when you create a lobby you can set it to be in the hub and you can customize your hub to look really cool! But if you own the DLC there is a second option outside of a hub! And this would be the island! So if you own the DLC then you can host a game and all of your friends could play who didn’t own the island! It’s generous and lets them demo it to inspire them to pay $60 as it truly is a full-game and all games on the system are $70. You could still do 4 player of splitscreen+online but you on the island could do 8 players of just online! Depending on how big the island is maybe they even did 16 players! So they release the game with the super switch with 10 sports, yknow what maybe just 8. That in let’s say March, maybe May 2025. The game has a trainer for each of the sports to teach how to play but then only like 4 of them have leagues. As when you want to play a sport you approach the trainer and you can do their training or just play a match. And in the center you could quickly play any of them. So 4/8 have a campaign. Then in 2026 they have a Ninth sport and make a campaign for another so 5/9 have campaign/league. 2027 they do the same, 6/10 have campaign. 2028 they fill out all 10 with campaigns. 2029 they add $59.99 Resort DLC which adds 2 full sports, and 4 half baked sports that are all tied into the Resort but are available for free and there are 4 last ones that would be like Flying, skiing/snowboarding, and Jetskis or whatever that you need Resort for. And Resort would also expand on sports such as new golf courses that take place on the island but can be played in quick play! This isn’t even all of my ideas and the comment already has enough yap. I could ask for a lot but all I’m asking is Nintendo please keep the series alive and bring back Miis.

Also for the "new miis" (sportsman basically) they have the same names as the mii's, like Hiromi, Kathrin, Daisuke, etc. Yet they do not look like them, I hate it

I was hyped for basketball coming to Switch Sports bc it was so fun on Resort but I was super disappointed. It plays terribly too simplified 😢😢😢 Edit: Tennis Select Position Theme is goated

There’s something I want to say in regards to the sportsmates. Despite what the poll Nintendo put up showed, a majority of the players I came across never bothered with playing as their mii. I’d assume this is for reasons like limiting what unlock-able accessories you could wear or the mii art style not fitting with the rest of the game, but that’s just a guess on my end. With that out of the way, I have to say that this is a very well made video! Your content seems promising so I do hope to see your channel grow and your ideas spread across the Nintendo community.

A lot of the more casual players I played with just went with sportsmates too because it was the default option, I don’t hate the sportsmates but I think most people would rather have Miis as the default option if they could pick for the next game. And thank you so much! It’s much appreciated :)

I thin kthey are running out of sports that work well with motion controls. Maybe they could make sports more suitable by using the dream event concept from mario and sonic. Also add some winter sports

It's only gonna take one more failed new version to know whether or not I can trust Nintendo with the Wii Sports series. Honestly, I'd be so happy with a port of Resort at this point. ESPECIALLY if they made most or all minigames possible with a Pro Controller. I know the point was motion on the Wii, but the games can also be fun with buttons. Edit: Can't believe how few comments there are. This was an amazing video!

The ultimate sports game for Nintendo would completely expand on Spocco Square with the option to go on a boat ride or surf to Wuhu Island kind of like Pokémon Sun & Moon. Also, the Miis are there, they are a customization on Switcy Sports.

One thing I disagree with is just reusing Wuhu Island, it's supposed to be a sequel not a remake. I'd love to see a new archipelago created for a sequel.

Hey dude, Great video! I loved the editing style on this one, and it definitely deserves a lot more attention! I might get burned at the stake for this, but I actully like the Sportsmates just as much as the Miis! I think their customization and overall newer feel allow for more customization and expression, more than Miis could in Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort in my opinion. Don't get me wrong through, my first sports game was Wii sports resort and I love the Miis and have nostalgia for them just like anyone else, but in my personal opinion they feel a little bit outdated in design and just graphically, you can see in Switch Sports how less detailed they are when compared to the modern Sportsmates, But with all that being said I think your points still hold a lot of ground, Miis as a playable character are just more versatile and memorable than the Sportsmates(even if this is their first appearance in a sports game), so if they ever did make a new switch sports game for the next console, I'd love to see a hybrid version between Miis and the Sportsmates, as in having the customizability face-wise of the Mii's in combination with the creative freedom of clothing cosmetics, tattoos, etc of the Sportsmates, maybe we can call them Sports Miis? I do think the next sports game should have more sports 1000% as well as some sort of in depth exploration mode and customization, maybe even a way to customize an apartment or something lol, it was really disappointing to see how underwhelming Switch sports was when compared to the behemoth of content Resort gave, so I really hope they can expand on Switch Sports in a better way in the next title!

the hate for the sportsmates honestly only exists because they were introduced in a series that was focused on the miis, which were pushed to the side. the environment for spocco square is beautiful, the backgrounds are so aesthetically pleasing lol
