i feel like we were all screaming “NO MACENNA NO NO NO YOU WON’T LIKE IT” with the silver hardware😂 But sometimes you have to try something one way in a diy to confirm that it’s not the move. I love that you didn’t cut that part out and that you still shared that. Never get discouraged when the direction you originally go for is not what you thought it would be. Regrouping in projects happens allllll the time and you are one of the few people that shows that!

I always like the idea of adding a hinged counter top extension to the end of a counte. Then if you need extra prep space you can pull it up.

My nervous system was so overloaded with 1st day of preschool and toddler birthday planning/prepping, this video was a dose of much needed calm, it was medicinal, thank you for sharing Macenna. Love how the off white settled everything, inspired to try it in my art studio

SO WELL DONE. Warming up the walls made a bigger impact than I had originally thought it would!! And the counter top/back splash just blends right in now, where before it was more of a statement against the white. This turned out so good, it feels so warm and inviting.☕🌼

I love the kitchen and the colour BUT I would repaint the cabinets with less sheen. You won’t dirty them that much before you do a kitchen remodel. The shine shows everything.

I really don’t like the shiny purply black cupboards. It doesn’t read French to me. I liked it better a light color. It’s too gloomy and dark now for a small kitchen. When you were moving up the white at the beginning of the video I thought you were putting it back!😢

I loved that as well and really love that bench on that end... ties in with cutting boards at other end! Think is perfect for that location flowers herbs but that particular arrangement looked fabulous! Great job as always!

This was worth the wait McCenna, your kitchen absolutely is absolutely gorgeous! I wanted to let you know about a channel I randomly found the other day, called Let’s Resin! The video is a few years old but in it the woman was making a circular table with resin and fake flowers. I don’t know how to link the video, but it was just gorgeous. Your nesting tables popped into my head immediately. The table has a black background with maroon swirls. It’s very dark and moody like the painting on your kitchen wall. I know how you love options, so I thought I’d just let you know in case. ☺️

NGL I'm glad it is a temporary kitchen fix as I don't really like it. I don't like the shiny finish on the cabinets and I don't think it looks at all French. It's not my house though and as long as MaCenna likes it that's all that matters.

The cabinets and wall color blends everything together more and definitely changed the vibe of the kitchen! I think the fruit picture you had originally would fit better with the old painting than that small picture you put on top. Love how Kinsley reacts to rugs, so cute!

I’m so confused … the kitchen cabinets are brown and blue? 😮 I mean this in the kindest way … at the end of the day it’s Macenna’s kitchen so what ever makes her happy …. Turned out better than I was anticipating! The sculpture clay looks so much better in your kitchen than mine! It was too gray leaning, but in a bedroom was perfect! Funny how the light will make you not like a color! Great job. Looks fabulous and so much more homey than the 30 shades of white. Love the curtains too!

Beautiful results, the kitchen is sooo much better! But I must reiterate... That's not a teapot! It's a kettle for boiling water, often left sitting on the stove because it's used so frequently. Or used to be before instant hot water from the faucet. Believe it or not old houses just had one cold water source so hot water had to be made from scratch. Hence, kettles. 😊

At 19:20, I was noticing the dark apple painting in the background. I like it but after glancing over to the two above your head, I realized that the “plain Jane”,very contemporary frame is what’s throwing me off. I know that you have curated ALOT of beautiful,vintage frames and in comparison,this one looks like one of those cheap,lightweight ones that a college kid would buy to frame a poster. It’s also a very bright and shiny brass,whereas the other frames are a deep,rich gold.Hopefully it looks better in person? 🫢

Maybe invest in a butcher block on wheels to keep under space between windows, you can roll it into the kitchen when your cooking and then return it to it's home. It doesn't seem you need a coffee bar.

It's so refreshing to see spaces that aren't the sterile, hyper-modern, and honestly bleak styles that are so prevalent nowadays. I love the dark cabinets, the counters, the floors, all of it! I just personally cannot stand the white/every different shade of grey home interiors that so many folks have now. It lacks character, void of cozy, comforting, and homey vibes to me. Your house is gorgeous, thank you for showing us all of the work you've put into it!

When you decide to spray paint the old hardware with silver and planed to repurpose it, I was very skeptical but for years of watching your channel, I learned that I have to trust the process and most of the outcome is great that's why I didn't bother the silver hardware that much. However it was a relief when you finally ditch it😅.

That is not a teapot, its a kettle. Essentially the same as an electric kettle. You use it, to boil water for your teapot 😊 Or anything else, you need warm water for.

Love love what you’ve done to your kitchen. When you did your living room in sculptor clay I was inspired to pick up a paint brush too. I chose sandstone cliff (my maiden name is Sandi Stone so it was a must) which is similar to the color you chose. I am accenting with a lighter version, hazelnut cream. I’m making progress and I’m so thrilled with the results. Oh and just a tip, that black top on the behr paint can twists off and makes less mess when pouring.

The cafe curtains are a lovely touch. I sympathized when you had to clean all those handles. When I got new ones, I wanted to donate the old ones but knew they needed cleaning. They weren't as dirty as those you bought, but 44 handles later, I was wishing I had just thrown them in a bag "as is". Congrats on a lovely space.

I love that you try to reuse as much as possible. Soo much goes into the landfill everyday & I definitely think everyone should try to reuse/repurpose as much as possible. You have so many follower’s & I think you are doing a amazing job as showing all your viewers how they can repurpose so many items they already have. 👍. You have a great taste but I wish you didn’t insist on the paint color and the sheen. Wrong shade, too shiny, and cabinets have not been properly prepped for paint which makes the situation worse. Could have been perhaps bearable if the job was done properly. Seeing all the flaws, hard to focus on the color. Details are very important. Need to aim for perfection. We may not get there but we have to always try.
