I would really like to hear someone teach on saving your marriage if only one of is willing to make changes & actively seek counsel & apply these things in your marriage. What's the protocol to help that situation? Definitely Holy Spirit, but if they are unwilling to participate in counseling, they won't humble themselves at all, they don't want to make any changes that need to be made that confronts anything.... Then what do you do? That's the teaching i need

you cant, it takes two to work on a marriage just like it took two to marry and say vows to one another. You can pray read books etc but you will finally get frustrated when you see you are the only one working and the other is not. I know from experience. Its about actions, if the person doesnt want to do the work its simple they dont wanna be married.

I love listening to Jimmy Evans and his wife. I also like listening to his guests. I'm single by choice. I'm still working on trust issues from past relationships, working on my goals, and having a more serious relationship with God. I also will tell people it nothing wrong to get educated in relationships. We go to college in our chosen field. Relationships are important. Many people were not taught about successful relationships or seen bad role models.

Ask Jimmy how successful Doug Wei$$ 30 yr marriage to Lisa was. Another fellow marriage counselor.😂 And why he endorsed the divorce based on LIES & went ahead to marry Lisa’s husband to Joni Lamb...all very hushed & rushed. Hypocrisy is _nauseating!_ Ask jimmy if God destroys a marriage, just so He can ‘bless’ any widow w/someone else’s spouse? 🤔 Ask Karen if she can empathize at all w/Lisa & their kids (none of which showed for daddy’s 2nd big day). Since according to Doug & Jimmy, she turned from “Faithful & loving” to ‘abusive’, all along. Ask if either of them ever even attempted to talk to Lisa, to get her side...AND the truth! Let alone counseled Doug & Lisa to even try to save their 3 decades of marriage. You’d think between TWO marriage counselors of different types, that marriage could have been saved, if both were willing participants. 🤔 However, we realize that $230 Million $ JoniPot probably had just a tad bit of persuasion away from Lisa & all in for Day$tar. Their longtime friend Joni, just happened to go w/it. ;) With friends like that, Lisa sure doesn’t need any enemies. May God continue to expose the liars & deceivers of so many. And may fans like you have your eyes opened to them. These definitely are the days! *And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.* Matthew 19:9 Minor details to at least 2 ‘marriage counselors’. OH the irony...🤮

1-Divorce is not an option 2-We will not go to bed while being angry 3-Never agree to disagree, solve it. 4-we will respect and celebrate each other in our différences. (Don’t tolerate or challenge. 5-Right to complain without being punished (not criticize) 6-We will be faithful. Unfaithful starts when your hearts goes away. 7-We will be accountable to our church and contribute… 8-We will make all our important decisions together and never bully each other. 9-prioritize our marriage 10-Expect disappointment, it’s happens!

All you state is true, but being cheated on is a very serious matter that must be addressed immediately. There’s more to it than instantly forgiving. You will go to bed without acknowledging your spouse’s presence (ignoring). You’ve been hit by a freight train and shot with a machine gun all at once. “Get over it.” is not sound advice for the grieving spouse. Much Christian therapy is required in order to heal. Sometimes divorce is the only option. Marriage is like the saying, “It takes 2 to tango.” Yeshua was and is aware of what it takes to be married, tolerance being one of the most important factors in it. God must be first when 2 become one.

I have tried to show grace, be humble and loving even when I just get reminded of what I have done. I pray everyday for my husband heart to change and to come to God as I know we would have a great marriage. My husband is not innocent either. He has also hurt me in so many ways, but God has helped me to forgive him and forget. How much more grace do I have to give. Only God knows

The joy of God is with me truly but after a long journey of giving my emotions to God. But I am 100% looking to God to resolve this quickly whichever way He sees best. I do pray for my husband's deliverance and blessings to know the Living God, but the way the enemy has caused sooooo many of us to be in this situation is very spiritual. Therefore, I've been seeking the Spirit of God to come and manifest His Power so there is no more hook of the enemy on what I have.

It's not your fault. Being in a relationship with a disabled person can be a great thing for the right person, and a "burden" to the wrong person. As the less able bodied person in our marriage (even though I pull equal if not more weight) I will tell you it's my opinion that selfish people would rather blame, nit pick, create imagined flaws in you...essentially demonize you because they can't simply say "I'm a selfish jerk that doesn't want a disabled spouse so I have to make up another reason." You are perfect, don't let him convince you that you are the sole problem.

I would give anything to have a Godly marriage, I’ve been married to my husband for almost 29 years, we were not believers when we dated, I got pregnant before marriage, we married, we both had toxic backgrounds, I got saved about 5 years into the marriage, he got saved about 8 years after me, we raised our boys Christian, I made sure I took them to church and made sure they knew Jesus, both are married to good Christian women. I feel now especially since they are raised and we’re empty nesters it’s been especially hard. I felt like when they were home I fought harder. I’m so tired… we go to church faithfully, I pray, I read my Bible, I study God’s Word but we don’t pray together, he sings on the praise team, people think we’re good but we’re struggling. We can’t talk about issues without arguments, it seems nothing gets resolved, I’ve asked over the years to go to counseling, he doesn’t want to. He’s been to counseling himself for depression, he’s talked to Pastors about our issues but I’m never involved. He’s on a rollercoaster of emotions most of the time, since becoming a Christian over 22 years ago I have healed a lot but it’s hard to completely heal in a toxic environment, trust me I have begged God to help me, to put love in my heart, I have forgiven, and I feel I’m always wandering what mood he’ll be in. I have contemplated separation for awhile to see if that would open his eyes to counseling and help. If I try to share my thoughts, feelings or opinions then everything gets turned on me and I’m the problem, as I’ve told him many times, I own my issues and there’s not a day that passes that I’m not trying hard to be better but when you’re constantly feeling like you’re on an emotional rollercoaster on a regular basis it’s hard. It takes 2 to make a marriage work and it takes 2 to break a marriage, it takes work from both people but I’m so tired from years of trying with no solutions. I’m looking into just getting some counseling myself. I wish our church had professional counseling, I would go in a heart beat, my problem is I have no idea who to go to for help.
@sonneversets3530
@sonneversets3530 Жыл бұрын
I’m sorry. Seems you need to do some homework & focus there, instead of on him, which is just going to upset you. Look up Christian counselors in your area. It’s a start. I would think a pastor your husband saw would have requested to have you go too. Even if just a few times. So don’t go to that guy. See if he will pray w/you at night. Even a short prayer. Just say, ‘honey, I would like to pray before we go to bed/sleep. Would you join me please?’ Then, you get to hold hands too. ;) If he says no, then pray aloud w/o him. Let him lay there & listen to you. Keep it short & full of gratitude. Thank Him for blessing you w/your Salvation, 29 yrs of marriage, His Grace & Mercy new each day, your sons, their wives & Salvation. Thank His Holy Spirit for His guidance daily & drawing you both nearer to Christ & each other. Ask Him to walk w/you both daily & bless your days w/love. OK, so that may not turn out too short, but it’s all positive & thankful. And that’s all good. You’re not dwelling on your marital problems, but thankful for the marriage & your boys & whatever blessings that have come from it during your time together... Your home, health, good friends, family.... Pray something thankful aloud each night whether he joins you or not. After a week or 2, if he hasn’t joined, you may want to ask him if he has anything he’s thankful for that he’d like to add. And just agree w/him on whatever he may say. And end it there. At the start of each day, put on your armor! If you don’t have it memorized, then Read Eph 6:10-20 *aloud* every single day, before you get it started. Once you have it memorized from saying it enough, you can say it aloud before you even hit the floor. And say it in the car driving, & whenever else you need to be reminded of all it encompasses. Speaking of car, do you have a Christian radio station? Put it on & listen every time you’re driving. You have ear buds? I don’t, but many do...Tune in to Christian worship music. Tune into it here on YT. There’s so many good praise/worship songs! *You’ll be uplifted* & God _Loves_ to be praised! There’s even beautiful instrumental praise music on YT. David Nevue, & Terry MacAlmon are just 2 you will probably love. They’re both on YT. Check out Chris Tomlin, Michael W. Smith, David & Nicole Binion, CeCe Wynans, & Natalie Grant... Just Worship Him! *Guaranteed lifting of your Spirit!* _Don’t_ focus on your marital problems. _Focus on Jesus._ Leave your husband & marriage in His capable hands. Tell Him that’s what you’re doing, b/c you trust Him to do right by it & both of you. And then just let His Spirit lead you. 🕊 Don’t nag your husband about anything, at all. Just be as positive & God like loving toward him as God helps you be. Show by example & ask God to lead & give you the strength to do so. *Join a woman’s study & prayer group.* Be it in your church, or another. There’s prayer & study groups in several churches. Find one of each & go. You will meet other women to connect with, who will lift you, pray w/you & a study will help you grow in Christ, too. You’ll have fellowship then with others...those who may not go to your church, so that may be a plus for you. Get together for lunches, movies. Don’t wait to be invited. Invite one or 2 you like/feel connected to on you own. Ask God to bring strong, Godly women to fellowship with, into your life. He will. But you have to put yourself out there in a study/prayer group, so He can. ...Speaking of movies...Please go see ‘Sound of Freedom’. Very important movie to see/support. Tell your church about it. Get ppl together & go! Church groups have gone to see it here. It’s a problem that needs exposure, prayer & ppl to reach out in their communities to help. If your husband doesn’t want to go w/you, go w/others who want to go. Don’t not do something, or go somewhere b/c he doesn’t want to. Go/do w/o him. When you enjoy yourself away from the stress/toxicity at home, you will be a different person. And he’ll notice that. But you want to do it for you, not him. That’s just going to be an added bonus. ;) Is he on meds for his depression? If not, maybe he should be. There’s so many new ones out now. No shame in needing some help getting through it. Read Psalm 46. Read a Psalm a day. Are you familiar w/David Jeremiah? He’s excellent! Have his sermons come to your inbox. Not sure if he’s on YT. Go for a walk each day. Take a friend you may meet, or one you already know. Add more to your walks if you want to. Walking is an all around beneficial thing to do. It will lift you, help you feel better physically, get yourself in better shape, lose a few extra pounds you may have...if you walk at a regular pace. Not a leisurely stroll. A good walk. Work your way up to longer as you get physically stronger, if you’re out of shape. If alone, another time to listen to worship music. Leave one bud out, so you can hear around you, too. I’d suggest a dog...even a smaller one, if you like them & would have the time for one. Doesn’t need to be a puppy. Plenty of adult dogs already housebroken & even basic trained, need homes, too. I only adopt/rescue adults now. A loving dog around could help your husband come around, too. They’re known to help w/moods & depression in people. They force ppl out to walk them. ;) Their Love is unconditional, 24/7/365. They’re God’s reminders to us on how we should all treat each other daily. Dog is God spelled backwards for a reason... Consider one. You’ll be amazed at the number of new ppl you’ll meet having one, too. Walking a dog has strangers talking to you all the time. Can be an opportunity to share Jesus w/someone who needs to know Him. Talk about a mood booster! You’ll never feel so good, as when you open that Salvation door for another person. God will use you plenty, if you ask Him to & then open yourself to it. Your husband will hopefully want to walk it too. That will get him out & moving more than he may otherwise, helping boost his mood. As things get better w/your prayers separately & together, you may walk the dog together. They should be walked twice daily. Or more, if you want to. Aside from playing w/them. Maybe you could ask him to please walk the dog, if you can’t b/c you’ll be at a study or prayer, or fellowship. Although I was able to bring my dog w/me to studies & some fellowships, depending on what we were doing. Everyone loved her. She was our little mascot. (No longer w/us) 😔 But if you’re out for a bit & he’s home, you can ask him to take the dog out. That will be the start of him doing it more & him benefiting from it as well. Then maybe as things are less tense, you may be able to start walking together w/the dog. Walk it alone for one of the walks & then together for the other. Just don’t discuss your problems. Keep your time together a more positive experience. A dog in tow will help keep things lighter between you. Men are different than women in the sense that they don’t want to open up like women do. They need to feel safe in doing so. Not interrupted w/rebuttals & defense. They need to be heard out. Then, not hear back...’but _you always...or you do_ such & such.’ That puts them on defense quick. And shut down mode. If/when he wants to talk about anything... _listen fully w/o interruption, & defensiveness._ He’ll be more apt to talk, if he feels ‘safe’ to do so. And a dog may help switch things & the mood in your home up enough to pull him out. Just remember, dogs are for life! Don’t get one if you won’t keep it forever. Well this sure went on longer than planned.😂 These are things that will help you move in a different direction. All positives. You seem like you’re dwelling a lot on your problems & marriage issues. You would benefit a lot from doing homework solo & bringing yourself up w/Jesus help. Focus on the 2 of you,(Jesus & you) instead of the 2 of you in a frustrating marriage. Give you & your husband a break from that. Leave it w/God. He hates divorce. We know this. He is the Great restorer. We know that, too. So leave it in His very capable hands. I will keep you in prayer as you work on turning yourself around & starting fresh w/you & Jesus.🙏 Keep me posted. 😁

Praise God! Too bad you weren’t the one ‘counseling’ Doug Weiss w/his divorce after 30 yrs from his “loving & Faithful” wife, Lisa. Instead, he was given Jimmy’s blessings & officiated the adulterous wedding of him to Joni Lamb. Never got both sides of things w/Lisa. And perpetuated Doug’s lies about her, leading millions to believe his “Faithful & loving wife”, suddenly turned ‘abusive’ for years, when Marcus died. Hush hush, Rush, rush to the alter. Marcus wasn’t even cold when ‘close friend Doug, for many years’ (as Joni called him) swooped in to capture Joni & more importantly, Day$tar, for his own. Imagine how Lisa feels. Her own friend, her own husband betraying her like that?! And then good ‘ole jimmy on top of it all. You’d think at least Joni would pause, doing that to ‘a friend’ from years back. I’m sure Marcus would approve, though. Being he was friends w/Doug as well. Let’s keep it all amongst friends, shall we? Wonder why Doug’s kids weren’t there to support their ‘abused’ dads 2nd biggest day at the alter? All the Lambs were. You’d think they’d be so happy for emotionally beat up dad, finally finding true love! Odd, I thought body builders egos were so huge, they easily brushed aside any emotional abuse attempts, via the women in their lives. Doug being an ex professional builder, who preened so well on stages. Looks like he whipped Joni in better shape before he married her. Wonder how he’ll react if, by chance, she ever ‘turns him down’. Since the couple times I heard him puking out advice on his ‘Heart to Heart’ Ministry, he liked making the woman ‘the heavy’ for sexual problems in marriages. I was immediately turned off by his arrogance. Sadly all his clients he made millions off of, are now shell shocked & feeling quite betrayed. As they should be. Being he also deceived them into believing he was still happily married after he was divorced, so he could marry Joni, ASAP. Failed to ever mention it. Or the fact that he filed for divorce as soon as his ‘friend’ Marcus, hit the dirt. All good by Jimmy. Who apparently believes we’re all too stupid to see the obvious. Including God, since he too, just dissed His Holy Word, for his ‘friends’ happiness. Can you say major hypocrite? SMH No more $upporting ppl who blatantly condone sin against God & His Word. No matter how he twists the narrative to suit, Jimmy’s massive failure here, has exposed him for the phony he is. God said He would be exposing much deception & deceivers in these End of End Days. And even the elect will be deceived, by it all, if possible. Don’t continue to be one of them. *And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.* Matthew 19:9 Minor details to at least 2 ‘marriage counselors’. If you and Karen worked out your marriage for the good to Honor God Almighty, how come Doug and Lisa didn't work out their marriage conflict? Or did Doug want something better where he can get more public attention to hear himself talk and watch the monitor while he's hearing himself to make sure he's looking good to everyone watching online? How is divorce justified to marry another when there is no adultry?

We will never go to bed angry, instead we will just argue all night. A counselor is never to solve any problem. This is unethical, even if the person is “Godly.” A counselor is to provide constructive tools to assist the individuals in resolving conflict. Being in a community of church folks does not save anything. The marriage of 50% of so-called Christians believers end in divorce.

The truth is out there on YT...warts & all. Doug lied about Lisa...called her abusive...Jimmy backed it on TT. Next you know, he marries them. So much for him vetting the liar, before blessing him. SMH He files for divorce right after Marcus death? All of a sudden, his “Faithful, loving wife” has actually been ‘abusive’ for years? NONE of Doug’s clients getting marriage counseling are aware of any trouble at all, & he LIES further, telling them he’s still happily married, when he was *divorced!* HELLO Jimmy??? No red flags for you dear? Or, I guess just no ‘red flags’ among friends. 🤔 Joni openly admitted their ‘close’ friendship for years & he was on the scene to ‘comfort’ them almost immediately. Probably beat out Jimmy! 😂 Did Jimmy even try to talk to Lisa at all? He knows there’s ALWAYS 2 sides! _Shameful!_ Or, shameless...however you want to see it. _Absolutely Godless._ No getting around that. Not even w/rose colored glasses. Not enough lipstick for that pig they’re parading around w/wings, hoping it will fly. You’d think Joni wouldn’t do that to someone else’s wife, she referred to as ‘friend’. Especially since she was hurt by Marcus years ago. Guess she wanted to have a taste of that side for herself. No way does God take another woman’s husband of 30yrs & give him to any widow. No matter how you try to dress it. Jimmy just lost my total respect. As has Joni. *Withdrew my $upport from both.* No way will I endorse blatant $in from any ‘Christians’ hiding from & _twisting_ Gods Word to suit. Keep exposing them Father! *You’re **_always_** faithful.* Even when we’re not. And *You will **_NOT_** be mocked!* *And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.* Matthew 19:9 Minor details to at least 2 ‘marriage counselors’. Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear! The Body of Christ needs to wake up to the true meaning of what God truly says in the HEBREW regarding divorce. The TRANSLATION of the Bible. Not an interpretation. At least 75% of the Body of Christ the true Church is being misled. An abusive marriage does not bring glory to God and there is an out. STUDY THE SCRIPTURE AND BE SET FREE.

Unless you know for certian Doug & Joni were having an affair, it is not right to slander them. As christians we will give an account for the words we speaks. Sad it wasn’t a ‘yes’ for Doug Wei$$ his Faithful wife of 30 yrs, Lisa. Never bothered to see if Doug’$ marriage was really in the toilet, before he jumped in to counsel Doug & Joni to get them moving on fast fwd to their ungodly, adulterous union.🤔 Maybe since ‘Dr wei$$’ had at least $230 Million $ reason$ to chuck Lisa, that was good enough for Doug. Total abomination, all around. Ask God to lead you to a real man, who follows His Word, you can actually rely on, not to falter, when ‘friends’ come calling for favors & approval. It’s GOS’s Word & approval that matter. Not secular men & women who step away & try to justify it, to suit themselves. All on dangerous ground. These truly are the End of End Days. The Great Falling Away is infecting those you’d never think. Don’t follow any fallen man. Stick w/Christ.✝
