When you stack them that way the black plastic piece is meant to slide over the button of the next stick. It actually holds them very securely. 👍 10:36

6'7", 300 lbs with a size 14/15 boot here and I can say that these sticks are 100% awesome for big dudes. Even with daisy chains, they bite the tree like no other.

Diy. I literally took a backpack strap off a old summit stand and tied in a strap on the back to make it a 3 point connection. It works… nothing fancy though. -Mark
