The fan and the white noise machine were essential for getting good sleep. My husband and I also brought sleep masks and a pillow from home for each of us. I wish I would have brought a nursing pillow just because having that would have been way easier than trying to arrange a bunch of flimsy hospital pillows. Also I brought a folder to put paperwork in, and a zippered pouch for keepsakes (her hospital hat, socks, etc). Clearly I agree that overpacking is preferable to underpacking lol

Highly recommend baby nail clippers instead of the file. Their nails are so flimsy and the files don't do much. Clippers are the way to go, especially if the baby comes out with demon claws like my son did lol.

Baby nails are so tiny that I usually just recommend to file them over clipping

Is your hospital a “Baby-Friendly” hospital or do they just not give out pacifier? The hospital I delivered gave out the Advent pacifier, but I know “baby-friendly” hospitals don’t. Just curious 🥰

Yes technically our hospital is baby friendly & we do have pacifiers available if needed but I wanted to bring my own 😊
