That’s a slick looking rod! Thanks for showing it. I have a feeling I’m going to be $250 poorer in the near future. 😂

Remember all that stuff you said was shitty about the stock chassis in your 50 hour review? It’s all fixed. All of it. ESPECIALLY the position of the RC and the accessibility to it. WAY WAY nice!!

Yeah, looks like Steve did everything right. XP could learn a thing or two from his designs!

I’m looking to buy that also but I could never sell my ctx!! I’ve had it since the day it came out and it’s like family to me😂

Sorry, we’re you asking about how to actually order the D2 itself from Quality Metal detectors or the shaft setup from Steve’s Detector rods? I did love the CTX for 6 years, fabulous machine that found plenty of things. Just got heavy and wasn’t producing much in my sites anymore.

It’s quite nice Weird Guy! I hope you can continue to hunt so I have something to watch, I’m frozen in now!😃

I’m sooooo close to selling my ctx also! Nothing the D2 can do that the CTX can in my detecting world. As for the shaft..already contacted Steve

One other thing Mike…watch TNsharpshooters video regarding Fast in 24khz and what the noise cancel number does to the target. It seems 0-3 you’re safe but it starts to break up at 4, all but gone at 6. Just an interesting anomaly. You can ask Steve if he will make you a rod pre-drilled so the water cable goes through the center of the shaft👍

Where do you order at? On the website you can’t add to a cart
@wizardsofwisconsin7400 Жыл бұрын
Just send Steve a message through the contact info and he’ll let you know what he has available, price, etc. There’s a few different ways he can make them for you depending if you want to run the dive wire on the inside or outside and other stuff. I didn’t get mine through his website so I’m not sure what’s on there right now. He’ll get back with you very quickly, absolutely top notch guy.

What is the weight savings if any/
@wizardsofwisconsin74002 жыл бұрын
Hey Greg…when compared EXACTLY (no arm cuff straps, same washers, no coils or remotes, etc) the original weighs 456 grams and Steve’s weighs 463 grams. Considering that Steve’s chassis has a bigger stand, bigger and nicer arm cuff with foam pad, RC retention block and the lower rod is 4” longer for tall people…that’s one HELL of an overall improvement at the cost of 7 grams. Like I had said, IMO it is literally a work of art. I’ve had the good fortune to message with Steve in the past about different topics and he is the kind of guy who is into the SMALLEST of details and wants to know the answer to EVERYTHING. I guess engineers do that, but he is on a “hyper level”. It’s an incredibly nice piece of work…

@@wizardsofwisconsin7400 Thanks for the reply. I agree with your assessment on the workmanship. The weight difference does appear to be negligible. My 70+ year old shoulder that has been injured several time really feels any extra weight. I sold both a CTX and Equinox due to the discomfort they caused.
@wizardsofwisconsin74002 жыл бұрын
@@gregparker5732 So you already have a Deus2 then Greg? 3 years ago I injured my right shoulder swinging the CTX and 17” coil too long between targets, I mean it hurt BAD and ALL the time. My doctor injected it with a steroid (prednisone I think) and it has been PERFECT ever since, to this very day. I loved the CTX because it found me so much but my sites were very dead in the last year, the Equinox800 didn’t do diddly squat for ME. This Deus2 is absolutely lighting up old coins in terrible places, I can’t recommend it enough to guys who hunt nasty public land.

@@wizardsofwisconsin7400 The D2 9" is on the way. I have had a D1 for about 6 or 7 years. It is about all I want/can swing for long any more. Loved the CTX, even had a harness and Swingy Thing bungee cord setup; but three hours of detecting left me with days of pain that just weren't worth it. I like the CF shaft idea as long as there is no Pain penalty!
