oh we've ran with the same problem with the hotkeys too and apparently you have to click the "ok" button after setting it up on the left. the hotkeys stay now when you get back.

@ Hotkeys: I have 15.6 for about 2 - 3 years, and it becomes a pain! I EXECUTE THE SECOND “OK” BUT THE ISSUE NOT ONLY REMAINS BUT GETS WORSE! Not only do the keys get inactive, but some suddenly ignore resets: The display shows the activation of the key, but the board ignores it! Yesterday Alt+Ctrl+Z responded perfectly fine. Today it only responds to Ctrl+Z as key. I have to combine it with Alt on the keyboard to get “step back”! For my next purchase, I will check all other products before I buy XP-Pen!

Just for info: The XP Pen 15.6 Pro already has a protection screen applied, so you were drawing on that protection screen during the video.

Thanks for your review! I’m new to digital art and wanted to purchase a decent sized tablet to get started. I was torn between this and the wacom cintiq 16, but I went with this mainly because first and foremost the price and the buttons. For me, $340 was much easier to digest than $650, and while I’m sure the Wacom tablet is great, I don’t know if it justifies an extra $300 (almost double the price) great. I also really enjoy the dial and hot keys; not too sure why there seems to be a lot of button hate in the community.

for 650 you can get a 22-inch XP pen with a stand and 20 shortcut keys its an XP pen 22r pro

I use Clip Studio Paint! It goes on sale often so I’d recommend keeping an eye out for it

Question, do you need to connect the tablet to another device if your using this tablet? What’s the purpose of that and is it okay if I use the tablet without connecting it to another computer?

Yes you’ll need to connect it to a computer that has port for a monitor otherwise it won’t work. The tablet is a tool just like your mouse or keyboard but makes hand drawing on the computer easier.

They are basically the same but the actual “drawing area” size is probably bigger on the 16. Also depends on your budget you will be paying more for a bigger tablet
