Every new tablet have problems with screen resolution... at least XP-Pen fix the drivers, not like Huion with the famous 420 or H420. I have a Surface Pro 4 and the resolution of this Windows Tablet-PC is terribly strange, making a lot of problems with the drawing tablet drivers. Hahabear, keep doing this type of reviews, because you're the best reviewer about Osu! tablets in KZbin. Enjoy the tablet as much as your fans enjoy your videos.

After 1 year playing Osu! with mouse, I decided to switch to tablet. The XP-Pen G640 is the very first tablet I ever ordered. I hope I won't be disappointed.

Yes I did. It works very well, just plug and play, no latency, the surface is smaller than I thought. The hovering height feels a bit small, but after 2 weeks of practice, I have a better control on the pen. The only thing that bother me is the position of the buttons on the pen. Because of my natural grip, I press them often so I lose my focus. Compared to mouse, with this tablet my aim improved instantly. I FC 3-4* maps within a few tries. I play more consistently so I'm not scared to play long maps anymore because I used to miss click after 500 combo. However, maps feel must faster with tablet. 5* maps are easier to pass with mouse though. And I had to relearn how to stream with my right hand cause I'm left-handed. But most importantly, my wrists no more hurt. Since It's my first tablet, I can't tell if it is good or not but I definitely like it^^. I can finally enjoy fast and spaced jumps, my favorite pattern in Osu!.

@@mensch9523 Yeah, it's actually very decent for its price. edit* The pen is lightweight with lots of pressure levels and the tablet itself is medium size, so there's not so much wasted space. You'll be using your wrist a lot when drawing, though. If you're looking for a budget tablet to make art and play OSU, then this one is perfect~

On newer revisions of the G640 the they have reduced the resolution of the area (32000x20000 to 16000x10000), lowered the polling rate (266hz down to 200hz) and added hardware smoothing. If you are wondering what model you have and are using TabletDriver, you can use the HIDlist command and check the product ID (Old version is 0x0094, and the new version is 0x0914)

I recently lost my stylus for my CTL-480. Replacement pens are either non existent or more expensive than buying a new tablet. Do you know if the xp-pen stylus would work on the wacom?

They dont unfortunately Speaking of pens, I visited a local Wacom store back in 2015 and they had pens for the CTL-480. Considering that the Tablet was discontinued even back then, you might still want to go check out the local store or contact them via phone and see what they say about it. (Chances seem pretty small) Or try lurking around on ebay and see if you can grab a pen/tablet in decent condition for a resonable price

I definitely enjoy playing on this tablet. The reddit drivers feel very good (like it doesn't feel super shakey and nonexistent input lag). I'd say it definitely rivals my old wacom ctl-480 and cheaper to boot. For its value its amazing id say go for it.
