GG 💪 Thanks for trusting the build and for crediting me ! I like Hollow Radiance on Sion because it gives lot of HP but also because all his 4 spells are AOE. For Shen I noticed that the waveclear is way slower even with this item so you don't benefit as much (still decent and you're against AP anyway). Maybe you could cook negatron cloak into titanic and then phantom dancer for a better waveclear early with tiamat (slower spyke tho) then frozen gauntlet if you need armor or hullbreaker / wits end with your first negatron ? It all depends against what you play I like to build offensive items on tanks like this phantom dancer usually only against comps that have too much anti-tanks, to find more utility. If I'm against full AD ofc sunfire thornmail will have more value. The point is to not "overkill" resistances and become a menace in an unexpected way. People will not respect and ignore you because they see you as a tank but you're something else, with more DPS and a lot of mobility to be a play maker with less risk of being kited ! Azir soldiers ignoring the shen W, Jax E and ninja tabi's passive is the most cringe thing about that champion by far. He's the only champion that just gets to auto attack regardless of anti auto-attack abilities and items

I love ur chill & the joy Shen (& League) brings to u. The only problem here in this vid is that, if it were a match of mine, I could do everything fine & swell, but my Renekton would not turn the fights around, the Shaco and Jayce would start camping me (not the Maokai), & Lee good early would fall off to us losing this. I mean, I would not be able to play the early/mid with no armor ... then I'd either get dove/permacamped or asked to swap, losing gold and start to buy components that delayed my build... Then team would lose objective pressure... objectives in general... and all that while Renekton turned into a minion. /// I think I went too "personal experience" here lol hahhahaha But still... is this consistently viable? Phantom Dancer was the mathematically correct last defence item for pure tanks when it had a shield and a 12% damage reduction passive on it, even if you ignored the offensive stats. Those were just a bonus.

This reminds me when I used to take MS quintessences on Anivia so that I could catch people and/or get flashes for free with W mid to late game. You built damage until you could comfortably kill people with 1 or 2 rotation of abilities outside of tanks, then built for survivability in sunfire or warmog’s with my build.

i think this works better on sion because how much hp he accumulates in passive, so radiance and hull scale way better and the free hp allows leeway to get phantom. phantom doesnt benefit shen enough but thats just my opinion. i feel like if you just wanted the MS theres better options. even FoN would net better ms when stacked.

My personal favorite thing to get on Shen is Statikk Shiv. Lightning Shen might be a dead meme, but Shiv provides a surprisingly good mix of stats, burst, and wave clear to help Shen during the lane phase against shove-heavy laners.

PETU my guy, you dont need a higher rank, your busy practicing every item and strat until you successfully ascend to the status of Shen GOD. You WILL become in time, a supernatural cosmic power with mastery and domain, over the art of Shen. And then youl be Challenger with ANY Shen build.

It's probably way better on Sion because of his higher base AD, inherently higher tankiness, and the passive synergy. It's already pretty easy to stick to targets as Shen with Q and E so I don't think you need the movespeed as much, and also Shen has a much shorter and burstier combat pattern that benefits more from weaving in and out, plus he scales worse and generally has to pivot into more of a supporting tank as opposed to a damage dealer.

Yesterday I went through items to try to create a MS build for tanks for this very reason. Celerity and nimbus cloak with the 2% ms rune on phase rush, with items that give you MS without the need to auto first was the idea. 🍗

PD, may be sleeper OP coming into the meta. I play a lot of kayles, and there is now a PD on hit tank build all the top OTPs are playing. I don't know if it's relevant for Shen, but with PD and warmogs, you get a TONE of bonus movement speed with the Warmog 10% & the PD MS.

If you're going frozen heart and the only rapid attacker is lucian you should take into account the way his abilities and passive works he probably wont have his attacks slowed significantly because he can animation cancel to weave autos between abilities

I am emerald shen noob but I keep building Titanic then hollow radiance and deadmans plate. I like Titanic first just bc it feels more forgiving. Once you have Titanic and hollow you can just one shot waves which is deadly as someone needs to match you then you can just ult in. I might try phantom as a 4th but I also have been trying bork and kraken slayer into some matchups.

The math behind it is every 5 attack you have chance to do double dmg, if you reach taget the movement speed and attack speed makes you out scale their dmg + if you go My build with frizen gauntlet into phantom dancer they are dead if you reach them. In a game with good RNG you critt 2 times out of 3 attacks while the empowered q slaps them

Pretty sure the phantom dancer build work on sion cause of hull breaker. With that item you have a tendency to build attack speed anyway to proc its passive reliably and it also stack on minions, so the moment you reach an enemy tower you pretty much have it fully stacked and just crush enemy base unless they send multiple people to stop you. The way you play shen is significantly different than the sion split pushing play style so I don’t think it can be translated at all.😢 maybe idk just an opinion.
