In case anyone is interested, I tested this on my car and was pleased with the results. I used this to pump up 4 x 275/70r17 from 15psi to 38psi in 3:25 (not including setup). We also used it to reseat a bead on 33” tyre using an ARB single hose. To top it off, I used it to clean the inside of my car with the single hose after the trip. Fantastic unit, and the best portable compressor I have used.

Sure was an impressive unit! Couldn't believe how fast it got those slightly smaller tyres inflated! Will definitely help our inflation time on the side of the track for this years trip! Can't wait!

As per usual you smashed it out of the ballpark, so informative, so much effort incorporated just to keep us informed on alternative options available, offering up definitive pros & cons. It's not a sales pitch feeding endless pros to get the sale. You even included the link in description for the quadhose review, as yes, I went back for clarification on inflating rears tyres to higher PSI. The combination of Morrflate compressor & quadhoses is now really appealing. It should be on anyones list for their setup. Internally mount compressor with access to control panel (con) & then carry quadhose in dirty items bag on rear of vehicle (pro). I believe I'll still be utilising my ICheck tyre deflators though as I'm truly impressed by the speed deflation occurs with them, set & forget also. Thanks, Wealie.
@XploringOz10 ай бұрын
Thanks mate, appreciated as always 🙏 This is certainly a good option for those wanting a new portable setup or for those starting out as it includes everything you need to both inflate and deflate in one package. The remote panel is a great idea and hopefully something that Morrflate would look to add in a generation 3 down the track? I also use the iCheck deflators from time to time as these are set to my sand pressures, for everything else its the quad tyre kit 👍

I’ve had the arb twin, the max trax and the Kings Thumper. I might just invest in this one and give my Kings one away as I did the max trax, the arb worked well but it was mounted in the vehicle when I sold it. I like portability. Great review.

Thanks mate. Sounds like you've had a bit of experience with compressors! The portability has a host of advantages (and considerations) which suit some setup perfectly, particularly if you are towing, don't have to add even more hoses!

whats the diffrence between the morrflate 12v compressor and the morrflate psi PRO compressor?

I believe the pro has double the CFM. Thus 10.6 CFM.
@Bryan-li8qi4 ай бұрын
@@ed1pk it's actually just the digital screen on the front that allows you to set it and forget it while it inflates. got my answer from morrflate. kind of embarrassed that I didn't pick up on that one myself.
@bopapa_19796 ай бұрын
I'm reminded of a general life rule of thumb. YAGNE. You ain't gonna need it. Air up and down from a single, reliable installed compressor with a single hose is just fine. Look at all the fittings on the MORRFlate system. Lots of potential failure points. And electronics in a compressor for serious field work? Yuck. No thank you. On and off switch is all you really need. There are so many toys in this industry, and I'm fine with it. But an installed ARB twin (or any other simple compressor) is always there when you need it, and a simple air down / up kit is so light, simple, and bombproof... this all strikes me as fixing something that ain't broke. Having said all that, if you enjoy your toys, go play. It's your build, do what you want. I'm just not convinced that 2-3 minutes a few times per trip is worth the complexity and weight.
@Bertram7210 ай бұрын
Hey mate could you use this system to inflate a single axle van?
@XploringOz10 ай бұрын
Absolutely you could. The compressor wouldn't have much (if any) back pressure when connected to a minimum of 2 tyres. Further, the quad tyre inflation kit connections are normally closed, which means you could have only 2 connected and the other two would be closed 👍 It would certainly inflate them very quickly!

Another great video! While you know it's punched out of the same factory that makes the Thumper Max at a higher specifications level, more portable air compressors should be equipped with auto pressure cutouts, it's 2024! Does it allow auto deflation as well if the tyre pressure is over the set pressure? Though curious that you experienced a ≈ 9% decrease in performace with the tank inflated before starting the test. I'm trying to get into the habit of multiple (at least 3) samples of each data point so you can look at averages and standard deviation for more reliability in the data. Anyway keep up the great work mate.

Seems it is time to get the Morrflate PSI Pro, Tuff Terrain V4, Thumper Max and ARB on the test bench in the LockyourHubs Lair. Interest too regarding how/if the unit manages over-pressure.
@LockyourHubs4WDing10 ай бұрын
@@Mouldyturnip75 I would think there wouldn't be an additional over pressure sensor with the auto pressure sensor relied on to do double duty. Only would be an issue if you were hard mounting and wanting to run a tank as well, you would need to plumb in before the auto mechanism to fill the tank.
@XploringOz10 ай бұрын
Thanks mate, appreciate that comment coming from someone who is the king of testing! The auto cut off is certainly a feature that more manufacturers should include as standard, I agree. Very surprised about the ARB speed in that 2nd test. My thoughts are heat. It was a very hot day, about 39 degrees in the sun (really put these units to the test). Given that it was running for 15m solid, I reckon there may have been some down time between those cylinders... 🤔 I'll look to get 3 samples in future tests, I can certainly see the benefit there 👍

Try buying parts to rebuild your PSI Pro in Most Towns in Australia Like you can with the ARB, No matter what the PSI Pro is a 5 to $800.00 Throw Away Compressor, Where the ARBs will last a lot longer and you can buy parts to fix them if needed with some ARB's I know of having lasted over 20 years without a rebuild, The PSI Pro is Good but how long it lasts is down to a lot of luck.

I think the couple of minute difference between the two isn’t all that insane because are people racing with these? No. I ordered the morrflate because I can set and forget while I do other shit instead of standing there waiting while deflating or inflating. Just a convenience thing in all honesty. Still both brands are amazing. I think morrflate is much more specialized with this side of the off-road industry and constantly improving their products
