Tip to reduce drag/scratching on the table and make the figs easier to move: use small googly eyes to make small slide feet on the bottom of the characters, more important for larger or metal figs (or big and metal). They can be almost imperceptible if you use the right ones and if you place them evenly around the base it should be very balanced and often even less prone to tipping over. Plus it tends to make moving them quieter

Jacob: Buys a TV Uses it for Dnd Maps
@kaldo_kaldo3 жыл бұрын
We do the same. Actually it was a weird situation, one of the players bought a TV and for some reason they gave him another cheap TV for free as a bonus. Some odd promotion. His TV is nice, the extra one was like a 32" HD or Full HD thing. It's pretty awesome to be able to just throw a map up quickly. Definitely his custom table was a bigger investment though. Ours is a regular one and we put the TV on top. It's not too fancy lol
@gargonovich3 жыл бұрын
I feel like once you're in custom-built-furniture territory, a cheap TV like a TCL 4-series probably doesn't add that much to the bill, and they add a lot of functionality. You could probably get a used 1080p 55" TV for very little money, now that I'm thinking about it.

What I love about D&D is that you can start with literally nothing and have hell of a lot of fun, but also get really creative and complex about your setup. You can incorporate stuff that isn't specifically designed for D&D (Backscratcher for moving Minis...). It's like there is so much stuff you can do for your D&D Setup / Campaign that doesn't involve playing which I love. I just love to tinker with new stuff to make everything more exciting. Good DMing tip i remember from somewhere: make failures positive, for example, during an achery competition the ranger, hyperfixated lines up a bullseye and, after loosing the arrow the ranger notices that a kid is about to run in the way, using their quick reacton speed, they slap the arrow into the ground using their bow. Makes the ranger miss completely while still being able to react fast enough to save someone

Wow things have come a LOOONG way since my 1-2nd edition adventures, back when I played in the 80's and 90's. Which reminds me, I still have all my original books too. A lot of signed copies as well. Not sure how I found this channel but I sure do miss rolling me some bones. Nice work!

The cup holders over the TV give me great pause for concern on the table's TV longevity.

Been browsing thru the channel to find some actual serious gameplay on this table! All I'm getting is some stuff about reactions of rpg characters. I wanna see some DnD going on on this beatiful setup!
