I was so scared of being sent to the camp especially uncle yang’s by my parents. Eventually nothing happened, and the camp has been shut down for a long while, thanks to my parents 😭😭

I live in China and these are very real. I am surprised some one covered this in a video and X reacted to it. And f anyone who think this is fake, back in when I was 14,15 there was a genuine fear amongst the young ppl that they will be sent to those camps. And people in China knows there are torture in there way before some kids died. The parents just turn their backs to it and the youth can’t to nothing to change that. It is not until a female journalist (I forgot her name) covered unc yangs camp in a documentary and he publicly shows the electrocution of the kids ppl those camp started to have some backlash.

ive accidentally been sent to the same camp in Kazakhstan for a day, but i was lucky and i told my parents, parents are usually not permitted to enter the facility until you're cured, but my parents were well known friend with one of the security guards here, and i told my parents about beatings, abuse, blood, and awful food, and i was finally rescued, only one day, but i got a PTSD for my life, i wish i have died than experienced that, i still cannot forget that to this day

In China, he has a notorious history with teenagers when his "clinics" were still operating. Even got nicknames like "electricity overlord", "infantry of magnetic blast, "million volts", "electro". He was definitely one of the most horrifying names to be heard and trauma-inducing person among the teenagers during that time period.

the chinese person in this comment section said that these camps used to use electric shocks and food/water deprivation as punishment for too much internet usage. id argue that parents sending their kids to boot camp because they were acting out, starting fights and comitting crimes is vastly different than parents sending their kids to a walled in compound with barbed wire because they were interested in music instead of studying to become a genius or play too much video games... in America they do it when they need to teach their kids discipline, respect and punish them when they commit crimes, in China they do it when their kids play too much video games or arent interested in the right school topic... these chinese camps were so bad that even the ones known for being the most lenient and "gentle" still killed teenagers... some of the reasons listed for chinese people sending their kids were as minor as "not having enough friends" like in some cases these kids literally did nothing wrong

The difference is that the US programs were private businesses that did their own advertising and had to keep everything they were doing under the table because they were blatantly child abuse. The Chinese programs were state-sponsored, and advertised through state media, they gave the go-ahead to these programs and encouraged it.

Also bootcamp from what i understand just behaves like basic training for the military except with school aswell None of that torture stuff.
