Caught someone say the officers were "too emotionally involved", imagine sitting in a room with a monster, hearing him spin a bullshit story in an attempt to preserve a shred of his own honor and remaining calm while listening to it. Investigators get to the point where they mask their anger in the face of evil after decades of dealing with this shit. People these days are increasingly awful at imagining themselves in the position of another.
@ScrimmyBunglets3 жыл бұрын
It is their job to not let that affect them. It's crucial that they gain the information that they need to convict him and if they let their emotions through they make mistakes and that won't happen. A good interrogator will fake sympathy with the most deplorable waste of life on the planet if it means giving them even a chance of getting a confession.
@sonsonny13 жыл бұрын
That's gonna cost them full admission of guilt of the first degree crimes, what you're saying is true but they're detectives/investigartors or w/e the title is for this type of job and the job is interrogate and recieve admission of guilt to the highest degree, just because it's understandable doesn't mean they didn't do a bad job, maybe they haven't had enough experience to emotionally detatch themselves, but this could have really costed them a lot. I'd want this psycho rapist murderer to get the maximum sentence for his crimes and to do that you need cops that aren't gonna be emotionally unstable and lash out (maybe some just aren'tcut out for it), instead play out their tactics that have proven to work, if we put ourselves in this position, maybe we would've reacted the same way, but that's why this job isn't for everyone. This aggression could have easily had the guy immediately shutup as he felt he was getting attacked and get a lawyer if he was smart enough.
@glebfirstov19883 жыл бұрын
Just be calm and logical 4head
@TheHeartThatRunsCold3 жыл бұрын
@@sonsonny1 No one could know how they'd react to someone like this in a room where their job is to approach things appearing calm and being efficient at gaining as much information as possible. You wouldn't know whether or not you could deal with keeping your emotions in check in the face of genuine evil until you were put in that position. It's easy to make claims of what they could, should, or shouldn't be doing from an outsiders perspective. It's easy to claim they handled things poorly, it's easy to claim their focus should've been on getting an admission of guilt by any means necessary. But we're human, and rational thought will never trump out emotions ability to sabotage rationality. I don't think these interrogators aren't cut out for their job, I think this was a good learning experience for them, and probably a good case study for future interrogators. There aren't many people on Earth that could deal with a job like this, so I'd hope these interrogators didn't lose confidence in themselves moving forward.

The guy is absolutely in the wrong and what he did is messed up, BUT what the detectives did was wrong, the guy said and the truth and that alone would've got him a very long time in prison (very likely lifetime, deservedly) but the officers were trying to create a false narrative to make sure the guy would get an even worse sentence more than he deserves. Usually I don't care because the guy already committed more than one crime, but when you think about the number of innocent that get thrown into prison because the officers pushed them so hard to admit to a crime they didn't do, it makes me sad that they get away with this type of BS.

Ngl, it’s nice to see chat be more mature when it comes to these things other than going kreygasm and etc. when mainly a female victim or is on screen. That used to always upset me because you’re really going to make that joke over someone who was murdered? I normally don’t mind it if we’re watching a normal video, but it just bothers me when it’s made about someone who’s dead. But it’s nice to see chat be more respectful when it comes to this.
