The chat is like 30-40 seconds ahead of the video. This “editor” has one single job (put the chat over the video) and doesn’t even bother to do it right. Putting in 1% as much effort as a SHEIN factory worker but getting paid 100,000x as much. There is no point in watching this over the original if the chat isn’t even synced.

For the ~20 seconds of surface level commentary he provides on a 20 minute video, usually in response to the chat that you supposedly don’t even pay any attention to? I think his commentary does add marginal value, but that is mostly diminished without the chat being synced for context. I also just like the chat for its own sake, probably because my brain is trained that way from watching twitch for over a decade now. Both of these things are diminished when the editor can’t even do the one thing he is paid to do besides uploading an uncut stream segment, which is adding and syncing the chat.
