yes but the problem is that a country that does not have slavery rn became capable of not having it in the past because of enrichment from slavery, thus making a concept of slavery unbeneficial for its society. and especially now for the countries that havent passed that stage it might be thousand times more crucial to use free labor ( or close to it) to even have a glance of a chance of surviving today. so u either lose ur benefits that u got from slavery ( adjusting for the passed time "inflation") or u pay for the other one to not use it for it to become even closely fair. but usually what happens today is that either slavery is used for a bigger player or a bigger player uses this fact against the country that does slavery, overthrowing its government or justifying its invasion etc. or even both when its needed for media like with china

It's the "modern" type of slavery. They advertise themselfs in every poorer country / place, to make as many people come as possible, the people arrive, lose their documents and now they can't go anywere or do anything. Saudi Arabia had slaves just as there were slaves in America before, but now there are no slaves in Saudi Arabia or America. And one last point: when there were slaves in Saudi Arabia, they had rights, unlike America at that time. Also, the slave could free himself from slavery by an agreement he made with his owner, such as working for several years or working and collecting money and paying it to his owner in exchange for his freedom. There were even slave courts at that time. As a Saudi, I studied the history of Saudi Arabia and Islamic history, and I found that slavery, whether in Saudi Arabia or in Islamic countries in the past, was completely different from slavery in the West.
