Get the BoboVR S3 comfort mod halo strap. It makes wearing the Quest 3 completely comfortable, & you can get a couple of extra B100 batteries for extended use. I use my Apple Vision Pro for hours every day with the KKCOVR halo strap for work, gaming, & exercise. I use my Quest 3 with the BoboVR S3 for hours when gaming on VR.

I thoroughly enjoyed your honest review of both products, specifically the XReal. As much as I want to like it, I don't think its narrow FOV and 1080p resolution comes close to what is required to replace a large desktop monitor. I would still like to try one, but on paper I just can't justify the expense for the experiment. I wanted to comment on the Quest 3 as I regularly use mine for productivity, media consumption and gaming. The longest stretch being 14 hours. For a start, the stock headstrap is not fit for this purpose. I could not stand the stock headstrap for more than 15 minutes before tossing it to the side. In my opinion the following are necessary to have a comfortable experience in the Quest. 1. Halo style after market headstrap, in my case the BoboVR with the swappable batteries. Two are sufficient as one is on charge while the other powers the headset. The BoboVR headstrap balances the weight more evenly and also takes pressure off your face and can even be use without any facial interface. 2. Optional, no facial interface or open facial interface. Meta recently released their open facial interface affording some much needed peripheral vision and better ventilation. You'll find VR to be a much more enjoyable experience with an after market headstrap. That being said, it is still not perfect, and will not beat a large physical monitor if you have one.

I'd say yes in a lot of scenarios especially after recent updates. The newest update just introduced a measuring tool in the AR environment and Quest can now let you map out the size of things and let you see how they'll look in the real world. Eventually you'll be able to lay out everything in real rooms and see the end result while standing in it before you put anything down.

I have both I don't use them for productivity. I did play around with it once connecting my Quest 3 to my Lenovo Legion Go and editing some videos while I was away from home and it was awesome but I wouldn't do it at home unless I was just playing around with it for fun.

I use the quest 2 with immersed for work as a service desk analyst. Works great for me. I have low vision. So, it's been a big help.

How do you overcome the screen door effect and the blurry wording?
@shaungratton2 ай бұрын
@@jerrebrasfield4231 I have bi-lateral optic nerve hypoplasia and nystagmus. I don't notice the screen door effect and the wording isn't blurry for me. Immersed has been great with the Jsaux USB C link cable giving power and data. Now I have an even better option with the Hagibis capture card with power pass through and HDMI link. Still going hard at both work and play. It's nice not to have to hunch over. It really has been a game changer with those 2 apps. Might get a quest 3 for pass through later, but this works for now. No issue at all.

I work, play, and live without suffering anymore because I can bring the screen to where I need in order to sit properly.

Regarding quest....you need an After market head strap with battery at back to take weight off face heavier but better balanced.....standard practice. Lots of settings to fix mouse lag as-well

So XReal AIr 2 Pro's spatial simulation has a little delay? Hmmm, but the Viture Pro XR doesn't even have such feature when using it on the phone. Viture only makes the display fixed on a spot. :( Sounds like we are not in the future yet.

That's the reality of where the technology is right now. It's going to require genius level ideas from engineers and researchers to come up with a device combining high FOV and lightweight.

Thanks for the video! I spent 3k on a wearable years ago with a 640 head display . It was not ready for prime time! Providing we don't start a nuclear war, I've only got a decade or so left, so I hope they get something really cool soon! I'm going to need something to see, hear, think and speak for me in 20 years! Elon! Where's my chip!

You did NOT use the xreal glasses properly with the ‘Smooth Follow’ feature engaged so as to avoid the screen lag / delay issue that is adding to your motion sickness related issues. Know the features of your equipment BEFORE you criticize it.
