Go to Vegas and see U2 at the MSG Sphere. NOW THATS 360 !!! I was there opening night. Best concert experience I’ve attended in 40 years. You’ll thank me later……….. 😊 BTW- I do have the x real glasses and beam. They are awesome !!!! Thanks for your earlier reviews !!

I've been using the xreal air on my onexfly for the past week. It's honestly amazing. The only thing I would not recommend playing is first person shooters. It gets extremely disorienting, while top down games look absolutely amazing.

The only thing I don't like about beam is .. because the pointer calibration button is on the side I find myself turning my hand to press it which makes me want to calibrate it wrong.. button on top would have been better for calibration.

Without the beam, macos can have a large single, double, or triple monitor setup with head tracking with the nebula app alone. Unsure why this wasn't talked about or extensively shown, especially for a mac driven video. Xreal failed to deliver some key talking points

Hopefully they put video apps on the beam. Netflix, Apple TV, Amazon prime. I play mine (sometimes without the beam) directly connected usb c from my I pad mini. Even KZbin live tv works.

I have a pair and none of the reviews mention how poor the software is, I think the ux and the xbeam performance should be highlighted. The hardware is awesome but the software needs more work

They said there was lag with beam I don't see any. It doesn't use 120hz though so there will be slightly more lag because of that naturally.

can you do a demo on a windows machine. I am unable to get it to show as a 4k but instead it replicates the 1920x1080. Another tip is to buy a cooler for the beams it makes a difference.

U can’t play it 4k even ur pc or what ever device connected to beam because ur output glasse is limited 1080p !

I'm about to start my journey as a digital nomad, and I'm considering replacing my 4K monitor, which I use for work, with these XREAL Air ones so I can travel with them wherever I go. Do you think it matches the quality of a 27-inch 4K screen I use for graphic design and for an entire day of work? Thank you very much.

The resolution can't match 4K, so I wouldn't go that far. You'll have to jsut see for yourself if it matches your use case, but for me, watching movies and gaming at that scale is really awesome

No were near 4k screen ! If u on to graphics and demande detail of quality image the screen is not for u ! If u decided to buy it anyway it’s mainly for immersion yes bigger screen sharp but not as 4k

I've just got one myself, there are a few issues but for gaming I'm impressed with latency and image quality, the issue i'm having is that the Xbeam battery does not seem to charge off the HDMI cable, only the USBC which is fine for connecting to my phone, laptop or possibly Switch, but limiting on Xbox or PS5.

Beware what no tells you is that you have basically have to have latest iphone latest samsung , latest ipad and so on, so if you not updated on devices forget it, uk based no windows just latest Mac laptop.

I’m foggy on the DRM wired connection requirement. Is the wired connection you’re referring to via the Beam add-on as shown in this vid or some other type of connection ?🤷‍♂️ And so the requirement means that in order to stream say D+, you couldn’t via an TV or other iOS device (no outputs & thus would require AirPlay) but could if connected the Beam to a Mac & viewed via a browser ? Am I interpreting the distinction correctly ? 🤷‍♂️

Yes. You HAVE TO BE HARDWIRED to see a service like Disney+. It will NOT WORK wirelessly via AirPlay at the moment.

You can directly plug your phone in to the frames and it will work fine. When connected to the beam via a wire it will work When connected via miracast it will not work for most premium streaming apps. You only need the beam if you want 3dof headtalracking or your using a device without traditional usbc video out

@@thomashartmann5037 Is this an actual upgrade? In the end it uses same 1080p lens and it's probably same product with different ergonomics. Xreal has used a lot of money to market this. Nobody is really speaking about bad software.

Brian I have been watching you for years and watched this video all the way through. While I love the product, it has a number of shortcomings, including updating it, dropping connection to my iPhone or iPad regularly wirelessly, and it loses the three screen feature on my MacBook when you update to the new software from Apple. I question you calling this a review as the emissions are a big oversight. You also don’t mention that they just came out with the second gen ptoduct with the first one still being so buggy

Thank you very much for your feedback. When the Beam's temperature becomes too high, a built-in overheating protection mechanism is activated to shut down the Beam in order to protect it. Overheating protection is a common feature in many electronic devices. We recommend using the Beam in well-ventilated environments and avoiding placing it in enclosed spaces or containers, as well as refraining from using the Beam when it's in a pocket. The bottom of the Beam has a ventilation outlet, so please ensure it remains unobstructed during use.
