this looks really neat, but is this just basically a mobile projector on my face? i hate to be blunt because i think this is really cool but is this all that it does? or are there other features like being able to use my phone from the AR?

I just got mine. It’s actually insane with the 3dof function. My only complaint is that i have smaller noses so i tend to push the glasses higher up my bridge of the nose, but that limits my view at the bottom of the screen. So it’s slightly uncomfortable for longer usage time for me. Other wise, great great product. I can see myself using it a lot in the future

I just got my Xreal One in the UK today. My feedback is that then picture quality is amazing. Its very smooth. Anchor mode is flawless. No blurry edges. The sould is brilliant. The downsides I would say is not being able to do multi screen when connected to a Macbook. The ultra wide feature is nice too tho. Also, I cant connect them to the Nebula app on my phone check out the AR features. It seems to be a standalone device which is used as a projector. How do you update the firmware btw?

it really only makes sense with a phone that supports DP Alt mode output. I don't recommend Beam. Maybe Beam Pro is better but it's still a prosthesis. Replace your phone with something normal, not an iPhone.

@ from what I see in the adds there is no prescription lense in the box, you will have to pay for that to be shipped to you, that was not the case in the original air 2 ultra. Do I need my glasses for this version or not?

@ Thank you for the clarification. Prescription lens inserts are recommended should you require vision correction, much like our previous models. Due to the product design, previous prescription inserts are not compatible with the XREAL One Series.

Is it required to set up a TV-Sporten account? The card enclosed that came with the One has a QR code for the tutorial. It requires me to sign up for a two-day free trial. First, I was supposed to click on a verification link in the email. It didn't exist, and yes, I checked SPAM. The site wouldn't accept any of my credit cards, which all had plenty of credit available. Their "support" said they don't handle account issues and had no record of my credit cards. Is there something I do not understand about setting up the glasses?

⁠@@MrPeperoni79i can see you have t had a response from Xreal which would have been helpful, but ill try to answer… from what i can ascertain the difference between those 2 optical engines is firstly the field of view as you mention, secondly the brightness of the display and picture clarity, thirdly the dimming quality from the 3 dimming modes (example: the blackout mode blocks out more light in 4.0).

Hi there! The XREAL One series AR glasses, like previous iterations, are tethered using a USB-C cable, thus drawing power from your paired device. Your paired device, such as a mobile phone or Steam Deck will need to be placed into Airplane mode for flights.

Hi there! You might be confused - hand tracking and other gesture recognition has always and will always be available using the XREAL Air 2 Ultra. They are a developing tool, and thus require software and programs that take advantage of the gesture control capabilities. Perhaps you are thinking of handtracking on the XREAL Beam Pro, of which was temporarily pulled due to technical issues that made it unusable. I would keep an eye out for a forthcoming update, or look for other applications and software that utilize gesture control.

Hi there! If your device support display out over USB-C, it's compatible! Several Pixel devices have been in compatible due to limitations placed by Google in the past, however Pixel 8 and 9 are able to support display out over USB-C!

Still waiting for AR glasses that can lock the screen off to the side or in the lower corner that allows for trasnlations and directions and hands free use of smart phone with head up while interacting with the real world. Big full screen or multi screen is nice but used a lot less often than a smart phone mirroring AR glasses. Oh and the music in the video was too loud and overbearing.

This company sucks. They release ar glasses at about the same time as everyone else, but theirs needs an external computer to use 3dof. Sold separately, of course. How many years later and it's finally integrated? Photochromic tint took a while too. Now, after they've already released glasses with 6dof, they're going back to 3dof! Most devices (including a majority of windows devices) aren't compatible because of software issues. None of their glasses work without being plugged into another device! Guys!!!!

Sounds like you’re looking for VR rather than AR… realistically, how do you expect to wear them like normal glasses, comfortably, if they have their own inbuilt battery? Do you know how big that battery would need to be to run for a decent amount of time in comparison to the glasses? Also 6dof is good, but not for your average consumer at a cost effective price. The 6dof glasses were designed for developers and not your average consumer. Also why would you need 6dof on a daily driver? The photochromatic tint was on the Air 2 Pros as well, just FYI so isnt new. Im not biased in anyway, if you made a good argument id back you but everything you have said is either ill thought for this type of device, without massively changing the design or just flat out incorrect.
