Favorite Brock play might have been the 4th and 9 conversion with his legs. The pump fake to freeze the end so he can get the edge and the toughness and awareness to stretch for the first down. Just a football player making a play and he showed some innate play making that you have or ya don't.

43:00 y’all talked about playing hard & being tired. I know what you’re getting at and it imo is the distinguishing feature between good teams and elite teams Look at Georgia, Bama, OSU, Michigan, etc. They play with this near rabid energy. They are explosive. They are vicious It’s not that they’re tired at the end of the game, some of them are so fit that they aren’t that exhausted It’s just that they’re motivated to an insane extent to play with that level of energy bc their coaching fosters it within them FSU doesn’t have that. Florida has struggled with the same thing but they still show more of it than Norvell’s noles And I think that energy in important. It’s basically utilizing adrenaline to your own benefit
@XsandNoles2 ай бұрын
That's true. Depth also plays a part for those big schools. You saw it with FSU last year. When there's depth it cuts down on snap counts and makes it easier to go all out

Been saying it since this staff got here this offense is not friendly to WR’s. Josh Huepel, Kiffin, Daye, Riley, Lashley, so many other great offensive coach do different things pre snap that automatically get guys open to help get them into the game and then from there it’s on them to make plays and beat their man. Here under norvell it’s either RPO screen/glances or “go beat your man” and even with Keon and Johnny that shit did not look good most of the time. Why did those guys only have 600 yards a piece last season ?

@@XsandNolesExactly 💯. Could our receiver play be the reason we had 2 de-commits?
@totallynole99832 ай бұрын
Our problem on Offense is guys not blocking well enough or sometimes at all. Bad footwork by our O-line and total whiffs on blocking by them and some receivers/ TEs. Effectively stopping the run game. Teams know all they have to do is match our blockers, sometimes getting pressure with less. A fix to our issues is incorporating more QB roll outs. Imo

If we want to play big boy football we need to spend like the big boys. Their fans pay up ours don’t.
@Nolewarchief2 ай бұрын
I'll keep posting it. Norvell needs to go pay an Oline coach from BIG10 country, with recruiting ties where the Mammoths grow in Northeast America is what he needs to do. If not, most this staff can walk with lil mike. Build the trenches, because FSU logo gets the athletes. Be pissy about the take, but most don't like the truth when it's apparent.
@mikemulrennan79482 ай бұрын
We need another Wayne McDuffie o line coach.. he had smallish kids a lot of the time that were scrappy tough smash mouth. These linemen are big marshmallows not physical toughness. He’s not recruiting well for the most part. But definitely not developing. If Armalla is a 5 star how can he not at least be decent? It’s beyond comprehension.. we’ve been bamboozled by this coaching staff. I like Mike.. he should have a chance to be a head coach.. clean house and get some recruiting coaching bad asses. If not he’s gone too in 2-3 years
@thekushcompletionist89302 ай бұрын
Is it impossible to design an offense that requires the lineman to just block the guy infront of you. I haven't seen a ton of bad beats (yes some from dwash) but ive seen about 10 ma's a game from the line.
@XsandNoles2 ай бұрын
No that's typically called man blocking but there are stunts and tricks teams have if they know it's coming. They also still have to designate who they're blocking which isn't straightforward since they not only block DL but linebackers and safeties who don't always perfectly match man for man.
@jtdesverdad2 ай бұрын
This is the same counter pitch they've run since at least 22 19:15 It may look ugly, but it's worked in previous years. Teams just seem to know what we're running. Maybe they're overestimating players or Clemson is breaking tendancies because we're too predictable.

38:13 i dont think it's just a talent issue. So many less talented teams WRs are faster off the ball and into their break/stem. All our guys got cement in their shoes for some reason. Idk if it's designed that way or what, but our guys always are slow to get into their breaks.
