I have seen what you mean but thats localized, the straight lines are short and they soon curve to go around the cloud or have some wrickles back and forth is you zoom out enough. In the game it was a miles-ong dead straight line which doesnt happen irl. i think thats just an in-game compromise. They made the weather to be unpredictable with random rain pocket generation which then moves in random directions and may or may not hit the track. Thats realistic, but the developers recognized that if someone picks max rain, they expect to be guaranteed max rain, so they just implement it like a massive square that can't *possibly* miss the track ever no matter what the RNG spits out.

Also those hydroplaning physics are actually pretty realistic in terms of speed. There's an equation to find out when an airplane's tire will hydroplane (they're almost all the same design) and it's simply 9*sqrt of PSI. If we assume that 911's tires are at 30 PSI, sqrt is 5.4 times 9 is 49 knots...about 60 mph. So yeah, that's a solid ballpark. A nearly-slick tire will simply stop functioning at about that speed.

Game has NO damage on cars? Flying into the barrier and just keeps going? How arcade is this game?

You can enable damage for races but he hasn’t here.

I’m a bit disappointed with the AI not pitting for the rain, lacking realism there.
@h80np392 жыл бұрын
The weather was still dry when they crossed the pit line, which suggests the ai make choices based on what the current weather is like and not based on settings of the race. So in my eyes its more realistic of them not to pit

Rain is definitely not a joke in this game. I had a very violent 480 into the barrier spin in my first rainy race at the high speed ring. I still got the clean race bonus...

As someone who just started playing, switching to the right tires make a HUGE difference, in one of the story missions you drive a Porche on this track with light rain and going from slicks to the multi purpose ones makes it much easier.

All these other streamers are hopping on the GT7 bandwagon but Super GT is the OG and best of them all. By far the most enjoyable GT videos period!

Nice to know that the AI cars with a same car have a different types of livery on races (I saw 2 same Mclaren and Mitsubishi Gr.3 car with a different livery color during the final race on this video)

I subbed for this 12:34 lol. Hes pretty much exacly like me driving style! top lad welldone great video, I will buy it for PS5 now.
I absolutely love the wet track conditions. I felt tugging with small puddles congregating near the curbs, which felt very real as I've experienced similar feelings in real life driving. I also started aquaplaning on all 4 wheels and skating briefly when doing 146mph, which was scary and amazing to feel in a game.

I was at Road America for IMSA a few years ago in the torrential rain, and it was really impressive watching the cars run.

It is amazing they got the detail of the vibrating wiper blade. So many eons ago, that's the one tiny detail that stuck with me when I started racing.
