Thanks fpr the chat. My XPro3 firmware was updated to version 1.3 on 28th Feb 2022, just a week ago. I didn't notice this and I am on v1.22.... but wait, the only improvements it lists are 1. Folders now contain 999 files instead of 9,999, and 2. The horizon indicator tilts a little more ? Hardly worth my bother... I'll wait until something exciting is added !!! By the way XPro3 still perfect for me

Fair points. This folder adjustment was apparently necessary for Mac users because of a problem on the side of Apple. So Fuji is offering a workaround for a problem they don't really have. 🙈 But good on them! Indeed not every update is essential.

How far has the autofocus improved after all the firmware updates? Just deciding to buy or wait based on that! I am more into photography, not so much leaning towards video

You don't need to format the card to install the firmware - i just dragged the firmware update into the sd card outside the two folders that were there and it allowed me to update it

Hello and good day Dieter! Thanks for your terrific How-To's on the Fujifilm cameras...ok, I'm stumped. I'm trying to update the firmware on my camera and am following all the instructions to the letter. I use a Macbook pro running Ventura 13.2.1. I have several SD cards, none of which is in "Read Only" mode. I've formatted and reformatted them several times, copied the FWUPOO19.dat file to each of them, but am still unable to get the camera to recognize the file on the card. Any words of wisdom to get me to the next step? Much appreciated!
