Frisk is devastated by what he's told Papyrus, even if he thought it was in both their best interests at the time. He's realized that he, Chara, and Gaster have even broken the ones with the most good in them and that they really have destroyed everything. He wants to make it right, and his determination to do so ultimately resets everything so that Papyrus can be happier. My heart. Curse you, Jakei.

After this came out, I rewatched all the other XTale episodes to refresh. I paid close attention to each character's arcs and I am just so thrilled at how beautifully done they all are. On its own, XTale feels like a story dedicated to the writers of stories. Of course there are other morals and meanings throughout as well, but that one sticks out to me. I have come to love XGaster the most because I feel like I can relate to him a lot. I always fret about being unoriginal and shred up stories so I can make them better, but they always end up being torn and revised again in a never-ending cycle. Honestly I bet it is my perfectionism, which really sucks. I also depend heavily on if others accept my stories, like XGaster relying on Ink's judgement. XGaster seems pretty happy with this reset which makes me happy, and I hope that any other artists struggling to be content with their own work can find a way to be happy too.

I like the idea of Gaster being a silent watcher of his creation, and that even in his world, he still chose to have the humans and monsters be hostile to each other. Still, begs the question of what Frisk and Chara did after Resetting... Also are we about to get XLittletale?

Well the comic X-Tale mentions that the events of the tenth timeline vaguely correlate with Undertale Cannon. Monsters are sealed underground, until the human (just Frisk, and none of the others, though) shows up. They grow up with the Royal Family and become friends with the Skelefamily (XGaster included). They eventually break the Barrier, presumably with Overwrite, and the monsters return to surface and bring about a rather peaceful society. At this point, XChara and XFrisk start shenanigans with Cross, and its his turn to change the X-tale timeline. Which leads to his backstory, then the Underverse series.

And basically once they RESET it, the AU just became an XTale themed Undertale game. Alphys also mentions that the CORE had some “major” changes. Which begs the question, is RESET more powerful than OVERWRITE? Then again, we see the SAVE button in Season 2 opening, so that might be important too.

For some reason I started crying when Papyrus went to give back the heart locket This episode/chapter/timeline is just so sad... The music, the atmosphere, somehow it managed to get me in tears in moments that I wasn't supposed to cry Wow Jakei, you really hit me that time, like not on my heart, ON MY SOUL That's why it's so good, you know the thing is good when you feel what the characters are feeling, keep up the good work, you're awesome at what you do! Hey. Wanna know something sadder? The error characters were originally of toby foxes perfect ending. No asriel, faster coming back, and chara passing on. Still a tuff world for everyone with racism and such, but how a world should be. Perfect in his mistakes. And makes sense why in tobys room where the rug he lays on in the game has hole slowly growing, signifying his new multiverse is slowly being unwound by the multitude of universes and how easily curruptable they are. Delta rune is just a new creation. Diffrent from the original. Where he can't be tempted. And that isn't as curruptable. A entirely different multiverse.

Thank you so much. It has been such a long time since I last felt the joy of Undertale and its fandom. A few days ago I found exactly this video through an instagram post and met your channel. In 2017, Undertale was an amazing part of my life, but over the time my interest slowly drifted. I knew about Xtale at that time, but I didn`t know how to find the comic so it was not "important". So as I met the channel I decided to watch the first part of Underverse, just because I didn´t have anything else to do. And oh god. While watching a big wave of so many mixed feelings hit me. It felt like my soul had lost something important back then and now has begun to glow fully. Thanks to you I found my love for Undertale again! :D I really do love this part. Papyrus is - to this day- my favorite character in the game and in the alternative universes, and seeing him here was...lovely but also sad, because everything he said absolutely hit in the feels. I just wish him the precious life he deserves. Keep up the amazing work, you are such an admirable person! :) Ah...I am sorry, my english still sounds a little awkward

this! this is incomparable to underverse and it's beautiful! underverse was so intense and full of action, emotions therefore were always like a punch. but the xtale sequel makes emotions creep up in such a soothing and calm, yet *jarring* way. i wish it'd get as much attention as the original underverse. i cannot express my adoration for this.
