Good day.. Just got my xtar vc4s and tried using the grade mode.. According to your video it will display CHG if its charging thw batteries but my vc4s just displays mAh den afterward it says done alternate display with the mAh..is thia normal?

Sadly I bought a VC4SL to charge NiMH-cells. It needs more than luck to charge any AAA cell correct. The charge stopped mostly at half of capacity loaded, the Grading function mostly show unbelievable low capacity and needs extreme amount of time, especially although the cells are not correctly loaded before discharge begins and not correctly loaded after the discharge. I checked the cells also with my other chargers which show totally different capacity which are near reality. Dunno if it works good with LiIon, but the VC4SL is simply useless for NiMH :(

💡YES! I'm also experiencing the same thing with my charger! I'm starting to think that this is being done on purpose because we can buy the chargers from Amazon, but we can't buy the batteries from Amazon. And all of the batteries I've charged with this charger has shown far less than half the capacity, and will NOT fully charged the batteries to the correct mah's. How convenient to be able to buy their charger to say that other companies batteries are NOT good, but we don't have access to this companies batteries to test in their own charger😔

@@catherineharris4746 I have also a few Xtar-cells, NiMH AAA 900mAH, the charger don´t care about thebrand of the cells and works with different cells also worse. Maybe it´s extreme sensitive on minimal voltage drops. But even I have a limit to test the charger with all kinds of Powersupplies

The VC4 Plus is the retail version of VC4SL, sold on the XTAR official store. They have the same features and functions.

No, it can't charge 1.5V batteries.

Don't forget that this charger DOES not have manual control over charging current, so, it will literally FRY any battery that is not supposed to be charged at 3 or even 2AMPS!!! budgetlightforum.com/node/67292

Yes and that is really bad. I like to charge at 0,25 but you can not switch it.

there's a workaround: use a lower current usb power supply and you're ready to go...

Good products nut if they fail you try to contact product support and they never give you an answer !! Customer support its just not there at all. I had one of the chargers go bad in a couple of weeks ad I got tossed around without any answer.. Tipical of any ofshore company.
