Just ordered the Jr 24" cab and i'm HYPED. Going to be just under a month before i get it but i already want one of these, i have the perfect 80's coffee table for it complete with cheesy af wheels on the bottom. The 4 player NES edition is on my wishlist for a later purchase.

Not to mention that the owner of Rec Room Masters is a very cool guy. I stopped by the location last week while i was in Atlanta taking a class at Georgia Tech. Did I mention I really want one of the Virtual pinball cabinets? Also, the pro version of this stick with the spinner and the 4 way joystick is pretty nice. Again they are good people over there. Plus like ETA Prime said it's Made in the USA. Nothing wrong with supporting people like this with around 30 employees and in the US!

Sucks to see them shut down, as he said their controllers are incredible! They made me a custom streets of rage legacy cab just 4 months before they suddenly shut down without a word. Quality cabinets all around, fantastic art with vinyl top, all the trimmings man... i'm seriously bummed to see them go as i wanted to order more cabs eventually.

I own this with the full cabinet. The only problem with it is you have to learn how to use different programs. Like this video for example. You're playing marvel vs capcom Infinite. Only one side can be set up. There's a whole bunch of games like that too. Street Fighter 5, Mortal Kombat X, Marvel Vs Capcom 3. You need 3 programs to get the second side working for these games. The first and main one you need is winipac. When you download it, do not upgrade the firmware. I repeat, do not upgrade the firmware. Doing this will kill it. With this program you can map the buttons to where ever you want them. Like street fighter 5, you can not change the buttons in the game options if your using a keyboard. The Xtension arcade stick is a keyboard. Only way to map the buttons is either with joytokey /xmapper/ or winipac for street fighter 5. Now to get the second side working for all games. After you got and learned how to use winipac. The two other programs you need is vjoy and x360ce. You need all 3 programs for this to work. Winipac vjoy and x360ce. First map the buttons in winipac, then map the buttons in vjoy and enable it on. Run the game you want to play then turn on x360ce. You can leave all the buttons blank in x360ce as long as you got mapped in vjoy it will work. If you don't own this stick or build your own. Just use vjoy and x360ce to get second side working. Important note. Create a folder just for you winipac profiles, that way you won't have a hard time mapping buttons back and forth each time. Just make profiles with the game name on it. I'm sorry I put this at the end but it will make it way easier for you. Your stick is already set for mame, so when you download winipac, right away .........do a save as mame profile. So if you happen to mess up the buttons, just click back on the mame profile you created and it will go back to normal. I love the Xtension because you can have infinite profiles. X-Arcade is only limited to 4 profiles but x-arcade is way way way easier to map the buttons. Both sticks are great but x-arcade is easier if your not a tech person. I had a headache trying to figure all this out.

My version won't work with PS4, There's 2 different Xtentsion sticks, I have the emulator edition, I don't know the name of the other one but that one works out of the box for ps4 and xbox one. Just don't buy the emulator edition if your planning on playing PS4.

imOJ The information I provided above. I can't get any deaper. Most games you can simply go to the keyboard options and map it like that. Much more difficult when it comes to fighting games like street fighter 5 cuz your stuck with that binding. All I can tell you is learn how to use winipac. When you download it never ever upgrade the firmware, it will kill the stick. If you wanna be safe use vjoy instead but I recommend learning how to use winipac. You can play every game there is once you learned how to use. Also keep a mouse by your side, you might make a mistake and the track ball will stop working. As long as you got a mouse laying around you can get the track ball working again. I'm sorry I'm all over the place with this comment. Just go through each game you have and see if you can change the buttons in each games keyboard section. At some point you're gonna need to learn winipac. If not you can't play call of duty type games with it.

100Bucks I sold it and bought the pro edition. Plug and play for most of the systems. Even in steam it detect 2 players as Xbox controllers

I have the Galaga version of this and absolutely love it!! It has an iPac for the controller board and you can program the buttons very easily through the iPac software. I use it for my Steam and emulators. Highly recommend this product! :)

I have been looking at this stick for a while. The one thing I wanted to add was a spinner, and then they came out with the Plus Edition which has a spinner and a 4-way stick. RetroHumanoid also has one of these and loves it. The one thing I have noticed is that this should NOT be used like shown in the video for regular use as everyone says the bx under the board is not made of strong material (Like a Tankstick) and is definitely made for some sort of cabinet. Great review and I am interested in seeing if you can get 2 players out of the stick on a Pi.

I’m assuming the issue, just like with the X-Arcade and HotRod, is that because this joystick sends keyboard signals and not joypad signals, games that are designed for joypads (like Steam games) will have problems. I think for those types of games, you are better off with a Madcat or Hori. This type of control is designed for emulators.

Can you mod this stick with a JLF Joystick? I noticed that the screw position for the JLF Joysticks are slightly wider compare to these which are in a perfect square.

the trackball is a nice addition but not sure why the screws arent offset at 2, 4, 8, and 10 oclock. Seems odd the screw would be right by the base of the trackball. I've slammed my hand plenty playing golden tee.

The 2 buttons under the normal 6 button layout.. how do you not hit those with your palm.. not sure i would like that particular layout. maybe 8 buttons in a row or those bottom 2 moved elsewhere.

I have had ZERO luck trying to get this to work with my RetroPie 3b. I can't seem to reliably map the buttons through Emulation Station/Retroarch. Mapping an "exit" button doesn't work no matter what the configuration tells me and player 2's controls are a roll of the dice. There is no official knowledge base to get this to work so it feels like an expensive paperweight right now.

The Tank stick is an awesome unit but the Xtension already has real Happ sticks and buttons plus its a lot bigger so no shoulder bumping when playing with another person the Xtension also only uses 1 USB cord for the trackball and controls. It's hard to beat the X-arcade price.

I own both, X-Arcade is easier to map the buttons. xtension you will sit there for a hot minute mapping out buttons. If your not a tech guy and don't have patience for all that, just stick with x-arcade. Xtentsion gives you more room for second player. You got to think like this tho. You'll have it forever. You'll never have to buy another stick ever again.

Yup they had those options available... they shut down sadly sometime this month. These guys made high quality cabs at a fair price and it really sucks to see them go. A serious loss for people getting into collecting custom cabs.

The bad news from someone who owns one of these is.....MVCI does not play well with keyboard....i needed a xbox 360 pad emulator to get it to work at all for mvci and two players.

I have been using VJOY-2 to get mvci working with both sides... Its ugly but it works. It is in no way me saying anything bad about this stick, i love the stick, its a HUGE criticism on capcoms keyboard implementation,

Is there a good way of dealing with MVCI still seeing the keyboard and trying to manage everything threw that? I set up vjoy2 and disable the key inputs so it doesnt double input and so I can choose the virtual controller at the vs menu but I cannot navigate the main menu except with the mouse....

I really can't explain that well, a visual tutorial would be better. You got Vjoy, after everything is mapped out enable it on. Both sides have too be mapped threw vjoy. Run the game. Then turn on X360ce. You said your trying to navigate without the mouse. If you look in X360ce. The (back button) and the (start button) They both have numbers on each. So if you look at the back button in x360ce. Look for that same number in Vjoy. That's where you would place your key. The numbers located in x360ce will tell you were to place the keys in Vjoy. That's the best way I can explain it, I'm sorry a can't help any more then that.
