Pearl was pregnant at the time, took a break from the band to raise her baby and by the time she was ready to start making music again she and the main songwriter for Powder had drifted apart and had different opinions on the band's future sound. Too bad, because I think they had it in them to write a couple more good songs. They remind me of Elastica + Courtney Love.

Um, no , they were not the answer to Hole. Courtney, for all her faults, was a truly engaging performer, song writer and front person. Powder felt like a prefab concoction to take advantage of the female fronted 90s band.

Better than the AMerican Powder. I would have changed some things in here. The video director should've been fired once he submitted this. It could've been re-edited into another shoot. I've heard worse songs. For all the people dissing the vocalist, she's not bad. She's actually only one small step from really good, but needed a bit of coaching to remove the most glaring failings. I think the chorus and overall song is good. This could've been polished more and been something considerably better. Dock me for being presumptious but it's true. This band was not produced well enough.
