Diablo 2 is one of those games where all of the perfect elements came together at the right time to create something incredibly deep, timeless, beautiful, and inspiring. It can't be replicated or improved upon, and to this day no other game has come close to replicating the formula properly. It's like the Mona Lisa of Games and will be marveled at for hundreds of years as an example of what humanity is truly capable of when it comes to this art form.

I know diablo 2 was unique but the diablo core is the D1 is more unique then diablo 2 couse the first diablo core is the dungeon crawler rpg, in the second game it was turn into action rpg game mostly.. Also for me sacred was a unique rpg hackn slash game too

It can't be replicated or improved upon? I don't think that. I just think too many people don't understand it enough to replicate it or improve upon it. We have plenty of mods for Diablo 2 that improve upon the game in different ways. New developers just don't want to make a whole new game from scratch without throwing in their own ideas, which haven't been tested by time.

@@NeflewitzInc In making a game from the ground up that seeks to accomplish the same goals, you cannot hope to improve on the sum of this game's parts. It is a mechanical marvel melded to amazing artistry, both visual and audible. Of course a resolution mod can improve the experience today. But I think you missed my point a touch. And all that really does is get you a little bit closer to the way you might have perceived experiencing it in the early years of its release. Despite as well as the game will continue to hold up, it's still too bad you can't really go back in time to experience it as it was back then. Those who didn't get to play it at the time can only imagine the impact it had. How mind blowing it was. One of those games that becomes more real and important than our boring reality, for many people.

Shame he didn't explain why it's so useful knowing that your can do it. It removes all of the casting animation and doesn't involve changing spells. The reason that's so important is when you're a sorceress teleporting to Baal in public games for example you can't really solo all of the enemies so you want to get a tp up fast, move away from TP so the tankier players can enter and help.

Every good farmer knows it is better to scrolls on belt than potions on endgame travincal farming as you can port to town and back in 1 sec rather than waiting for your merc to run around the wall in 5 secs lol

Horazon actually tells you that the true tomb is the one with the symbol missing... if you actually bother to read his journal. Kinda funny that people don't know that because no one ever actually reads it even though that is the quest objective haha

@FlyingMonkies325 In terms of solely character level, yes. However, if items comes into factor then not really. In this case, you are not getting geared, but I suppose at some point in development they wanted to add cross character stashing and this feature was meant to skip the already played before portions of the game. It took me 20 years to learn about this feature, I think if it was meant to be used more widely then it would have been more public.

For doing basic modding adding the flags "-w -direct -txt" can be useful, but you would need certain tools to extract from the game's .mpq files

5:48 - Would have been cool if that paladin holy outfit was obtainable in game. For example you put The Standard of Heroes from Uber Tristram to cube, click transmute and then get permanent holy outfit so that you would look kinda like hero walking away from explosions in movies.

Flat out, one of the best developed games of all time. Made by true enthusiasts long before gaming become such a money making business. They spent the time to truly go the extra mile, where as now it seems games have super accelerated deadlines with the thought process to get it released to make money then make fixes later

When this game first came out I had enemy’s spawn and kill me in the act 1 rouge camp just like you talked about in act 2 but it was act 1 and it only ever happened once. I’ve tried looking things up about it but have never found anything on it

Back then I only played Druid, Barb and Necro. Now that I purchased D2R last December because it was 67% off, I get to play the classes that I missed out back then. Seeing that AOE frost attack from the Sorceress made me look forward to levelling her up. In fact, I created all classes in my account and will beat the game using all of them, I was addicted to this game back then, even more addicted to it now because of the new graphics and since I can't get away with using character editors anymore.

I learned pretty early on how to tell which was the true tomb of Tal Rasha, and avoided it until I cleared out the rest :P Even around the Circle your character is standing in right there you can see all 7 symbols, so it's not difficult to puzzle out which one is missing from the glowing glyphs around the place.

Something you done see, or hear often... Was that the original Diablo game was sold to Sierra Entertainment, who made the exspandtion to Diablo 1. Very bizarre, and then Sierra Entertainment went out of business not very long after that... They made awesome games, that had tons of replay value.
