I've used the d7 but I bought this a30m I installed it on a 10.5'' and a 7'' tablet, a super nice I have a 2018 Chevy Cruze Turbo with DFI and it is amazing how many PIDs it shows.The only thing I don't like it does not take screen snap shots and you cannot download the recorded data onto a PC.One more thing is the colors for the different PIDs are hard to distinguish from one another.The A30M has lifetime updates the D7 is 2 or 3 years then you have to pay

Hi, another very good video, the A30M is more limited than the D7: no coding or programming functions, no key functions, ...but personally it's a very good diagnostic tool, I use it every day. the A30M has an Android application very similar to the D7 (ergonomic and easy to use) but with a few shortcomings: - it's not possible to view several graphs separately on a single screen, - saving in .csv existed on the previous version of the Anyscan Android application, but has been removed! ...it's incomprehensible! - there are still minor imperfections, such as the fact that units are not displayed in the combined graphs (corrected a long time ago on the D7).

@@BestCarMods On a daily basis I like working with smartphone tools: it's the quickest and most practical (always-ready smartphone, wireless and highly transportable dongle) and among these tools I use the A30M because it has the best interface user (the others, even if there are more complete ones on smartphones, are less ergonomic for me). For a serious diagnosis, I always try to use a dedicated manufacturer tool (generally a Chinese clone), multi-brand, Xtool has good value for money, ...I'm not a professional and if the D8 existed on a smartphone I would buy them all straight away!

I can't confirm that it does. with the xtool products there is a big surprise factor. on some vehicles they are able to do so many functions well and on others, they just don't. also check out this link www.xtooltech.com/english/FunctionQuery.html

Great video. Thank you. I have installed a new Nox sensor on a 2016 Peugeot Partner BlueHDi and while the error codes have gone, the mileage countdown and urea warning lights are still on display. I've been told that they will remain until the car is told that a new Nox sensor has been fitted. Is the A30M able to do such a task? Thank you.

Hi, I haven't tested it but I think the electric brake control part should be ok on a 3008. The Peugeot software has benefited from quite a few updates in recent months which has greatly upgraded it.. . moreover a latest version in v11.70 is about to be released. However, be careful, the Peugeot/Citroën software requires a network connection to carry out a diagnosis!

Is it true that it over heat when left plugged in? I would like to use it as live data log like idash. Is it ok for that?

@@BestCarMods Thanks lot, really appreciate your response. I'm still learning how to display live data. People spend $400-$800 just to buy idash to display data that the dash on GM diesel truck does not display, mostly on the DEF level and regen info. Mostly because if it started one needs to continue diving until it is done. I hope that I can use this to display the same info while at the same serve as a good scan tool and less expensive. It would be nice if someone makes a video about how to do it using this tool.

Is there a valid reason as to WHY Xtool A30M would want access to your personal details? 🤷‍♂️ (So they want permission to access my contacts list and phone directory,, or to see photographs of my children in Google Photos, for example ... 🤔) I'm a very private and suspicious person btw 😁

I am also suspicious of app permissions. but I eventually granted those permissions to the app. I believe that they don't have developers that know how to do the software "privacy friendly". The app requires permissions to save the reports,, save the diagnostic software, scan VIN numbers via camera if you want to. overall it is a nice bit of kit as it is small and you can have it always with you. now to get an additional phone just for it, it defeats the purpose of having a simple solution.

I get a license exp code on boot up. Looked it up tells me to delete app and apk file and reinstall. There is no apk file to delete after redownloading , any suggestions from anyone. Its been a pretty decent tool for the price.until now

your question is a unique one ... an sadly you will have to test and see how it goes ... for some reason, I think the code is for the app and you can use it with multiple dongles ... when you pair in the settings you might need to add all 3 to each phone.

U can register as many phones and tablets to a single A30m. But if u need to pair a second A30m, then you will need to overwrite the serial and passcode.on your phone/tablet.
