I'm curious what the final work area is? Xtool makes some nice stuff, but unfortunately it's out of my price range. I expanded my 20watt diode to 465x785mm DIY style. The manufacturer doesn't have an expansion kit for the machine. As far as 40watts goes, I'm thinking about getting a K40 CO2 laser. It will be nice to be able to cut clear acrylic and it will give me something else to tinker with 😊

I will have my machine turned sideways.. Is there a way to have my Lightburn screen minic the orientation of my machine? I have my extender rails sitting right here and am installing them tomorrow.. but I already know how its got to sit on my work bench.. edited to add.. I have my drag chain coming in today so that goes on with the new rails :)

I’m going to set mine up in a similar manner. I have never tried to change the orientation of Lightburn. I’ll have to read the manual to see if that is covered or is possible

@@PawPawsWorkShop I have the same issue, having the bed in "landscape" mode makes far more sense. Sadly, LB has no way of rotating the axes (or even swapping axes) to accommodate this currently - a fairly big fail in my book considering the number of (paid) updates we’ve had ! One further thing to consider would be a couple of ply plates to 'lock' the honeycomb bed to the main laser frame - that way, you can guarantee the accurate position of the bed to the machine Otherwise, for repeatability, it’ll be all over the place - not sure why Xtool don't include such a thing with the kit ?
