Hi! I have a 100W CO2 laser cutting machine that suits my needs very well. What I basically need to know is two pieces of information that I haven't found in any demo yet. Diode laser operational lifetime. How many hours do I work? The second question is: in a single pass do I actually cut how many mm of wood and at what power x time?. My problem with CO2 is that it takes up a lot of space and is also very heavy. This causes me trouble. Thanks.

What a difference a year makes in technology. Hasn't been *that* long since the 10W was top dog. One suggestion... I've always heard it's better to use mm/min w/ diodes and mm/s for CO2. However, with diodes getting stronger that convention may blur or disappear.

The power is amazing! LightBurn was setup to mm/s

What were the settings for the cutting board please? Thank you for showing us the fully work as well. When we mess up, we feel that we are the only ones making mistakes. It is encouraging knowing that you don't get it right first time every time. Thank for a good presentation.

I bought the Pro 10w... the increased laser size of the 20w worried me a bit with some of the finer resolution details I work on, looks like I'll be purchasing a 20w laser module as well!

Yeah! This is a real power house! I came away very, very impressed.

Do you find you can't as fine detail with the 20w as compared to their 10w since 20w has wider beam?
@bhutch2162 жыл бұрын
You’re talking about 3/1000ths of inch difference. You wouldn’t even be able to see the difference with the naked eye. .08mm (3/1000”) vs .15mm (6/1000”)

Looks like a great tool and can print the real sam waffles. My past experience with a laser engraver (elks maker) was very disappointing - made me get into 3D printing - this looks like it could really do things that I want to do - like actually cut wood. Thanks fro the review and now my dogs want a waffle.

Sam Waffles 😂😂. Yeah, these lasers have come a long ways! This such an impressive machine, so much power than I’m used to. That is my affiliate link in the description, if you do decide to order. That can help pay for the cutting board and stainless steel mug I destroyed 😂😂. Bear and Oreo look forward to my laser reviews, they always get some food 🤔.

Before you get excited check the price and compare to 40w co2 laser which is much better,and about the same price.
@TripodsGarage2 жыл бұрын
I agree, this laser isn’t for everyone. However, you should see what works best for you. Budget, what materials you want to cut or engrave, and how much space you have. There isn’t one laser that does it all.

You're not going to cut much more than 5mm ply with a 40W CO2 laser.

It’s good for leather?
@TripodsGarage2 жыл бұрын
Works great on leather. However, it does stink, I would suggest a well vented area. Even better would be using their enclosure with an exhaust. I will be reviewing in at couple weeks.

Atomstack X20 Pro is $400 cheaper than the model you reviewed and INCLUDES an air assist pump. It's $100 cheaper than the black X1 Pro 20W. I don't see any significant differences between what the 2 machines can do, so I guess I'd go with Atomstack.

219 minutes for a tumbler ? Was that correct?
@TripodsGarage2 жыл бұрын
That was correct! The side of the tumbler that was a little deformed, that was the 219min. Too much power, and too slow. The other side, was half the time. Now, this was without using any assistance like using Brilliance spay. You use something like that, you can drastically decrease the time. Most likely you will be able to complete a tumbler in 25min.

@@TripodsGarage what's there to answer? You are reviewing a very expensive laser that was given to you for free, why are you getting so defensive? There are other reviewers that purchase items with their own money and post reviews. What do I charge...LOL! Oh...and some of the better reviewers give away the products after they review them.
@TripodsGarage2 жыл бұрын
@@1-Nice-Guy - I am not getting defensive. It is a very simple question that you have yet to answer. Clearly you have an issue with products that are sent out for people to review, and felt the need to comment. I never said I charged anything, which I don’t. Clearly your time isn’t valuable, and you cannot put a number even it is for work purposes.
