I bought this scanner back in april. I used it to program keys from two toyotas i have paid for itself already. Got a e46 bmw and it works well with it hope to see an update so i dont have to put in the vin number every time i plug it in. All in all it's a very good scanner for the price.

I have the Xtool D8 in my Christmas list LOL. How different is the D8 vs the IP616?

The main difference between them from what I’ve been told is the D8 can do module programming (when replacing a module) and the 616 can not. The 616 has become my daily driver as it’s a lot less bulky than the D8!

The IP616 has no bidirectional control but the D8 does. That's a big difference. Lets you test all kinds of things in the car from the scan tool.
