Actually now that I've finished watching this, This would be great for someone who is looking to design Shirts and other clothes possibly.
@YaaLFH5 ай бұрын
Not really. Too small to print on larger size T-shirts, and due to CMY cartridge it doesn't print well on non-white materials (low contrast and distorted colours because there's no white ink like in UV printers) and it's expensive to print (no black ink means it mixes all three inks to create black, which is wasteful and results in muddy darks). It's also slow.

Very thorough review/test, though it would have been nice to see use of the foil/debossing tip.

Overall nice review but I think by judging the quality of the ink-jet prints you didn't change the intensivity to maximum which makes the prints much more vibrant. Still it's better to use sublimation printer combinetd with M1 Ultra as the print module leaving much more to desire.. And BTW I duont see any links to your website in the description?

Hi Aurora, thanks for sharing. i use a lot of razors in my upholstery work, they constantly need to be replaced, something to consider for this machine, users may have to buy dozens of blades or more.

I use #11 blades in my hobby work and save money by resharpening or honing the blades before they get too dull. Saves me a lot of money.

A really great review as per usual! I built a 45 watt CO2 laser cutter a few years ago, and it was difficult to keep the enclosure clean after a lot of laser cutting and engraving. I appreciate the multiple functions in this machine, but I wonder how much deep cleaning would be necessary if you switched from laser cutting to blade cutting or inkject printing frequently. Did you notice any residue from laser cutting getting onto the cutting mats?

Great work my friends, can you answer me if this machine cut mirror acrylic? or if there is mirror acrylic opaque that it can cut? thank you a lot

I don't think so, diode lasers generally can only cut black (dark opaque) acrylic.

Cool machine. Can you print inkjet on a flat black acrylic? Does the color sticks to the plastic? How does the graphic look like?
@AuroraTech5 ай бұрын
I don't think so, the ink only dries on paper, wood, or similar surfaces that can be written on with a ball pen.
@createinspain5 ай бұрын
The print head will not print on slick surfaces any more than a normal inkjet can print on plastic - which it can't unless it has a special coating. The quality, is as admitted by XTool, not as good as a domestic printer.

It all depends on what you're going to be using the laser for. I have four: the xTool M1 Ultra, xTool S1 40 watt, Glowforge, and WeCreat 20 watt. I would HIGHLY recommend staying away from WeCreat; this company is a rip-off in so many ways. Plus, the WeCreat laser, whether 20 watt or 40 watt, has many flaws, and the company will blame the end user for those flaws. I also wouldn’t consider any GlowForge lasers-overpriced for both the lasers and the software. If you don’t subscribe to their software, don’t expect to do much with the laser. Additionally, Glowforge is proprietary, meaning you can only use their software; you can’t use Lightburn or any other software outside of Glowforge. If you're starting out or have some experience with lasers, I highly recommend the xTool S1 if you’re looking to do more than crafting. If you’re into crafting such as card making, working with fabric, jewelry making, heat transfers, etc., I highly recommend the xTool M1 Ultra. If your decision is between the M1 Ultra and the S1, don’t pay the regular price-wait for a promotion. xTool ALWAYS has sales for all of their lasers during any holiday. Again, it is really hard to say what the best laser machine is for a first-time buyer, as your needs may be different from someone else’s. But once you figure out what you want to use a laser for, stick with xTool-trust me, you can’t go wrong. Watch this video: www.xtool.com/pages/about-us Short xTool Factory tour: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYmtcnqJm8ariZosi=Qa6uldziwxW93ZF- I have had many other lasers, such as the Lasermaster, and no matter what, I am absolutely amazed by xTool. Great customer service, always listening to their customer base, and never stopping their innovation. I hope this helps and that you find the right laser for your new adventures.😎

The only part that could be considered noisy is the exhaust fan, as it was placed outside the machine. However, I don't think it's loud enough to upset your neighbor next door.

The inkjet module is a gimmick - it only has CMY inks so to print black it has to mix all three colours, which results in muddy darks, is wasteful and expensive. It doesn't have white ink like UV printers either, so printing on anything darker than white comes out distorted and low contrast. Much slower than a desktop printer too.

@LouRao4 ай бұрын
Absolutely not. First, that is the regular price when not on sale. xTool always has sales and promotions. They even offer promotions to trade in any brand of laser for a huge discount. xTool has been around for a long time, and if you look into how this company’s performance is structured-from the design groups, to beta testing, and to the final product-you would be amazed. Plus, this is the only laser company that continues to innovate. When you compare the build quality with other brands, xTool stands on top. I've had many brands of lasers, and I can say that by far, xTool is worth every penny. I compare xTool to Apple-you get what you pay for.😎
