"I want my shop back!" - cuts to an empty space that's multiple times the size of my apartment… ;-)

Can you imagine doing that in his original apartment workshop?😮

Amazing as always Jay. I'm just getting the S1 and have to make 6 reels and want something simple to get me going. This gives me some good ideas

That table CNC cutter is worth it's weight in gold! Man, I wish I had the space (or the cash!) to be able to have one. Keep up the good work :-)

Awesome man. You are making me think I need to look into the Avid CNC lol. I just don't have room with the other 2 Shapeoko's I have

I like it, and you really must of wanted that off of your table asap, because i would have expected a project of yours to have on board materials storage and some kind of removable or fold up section for the extension. :)

is it possible to add drop downs on each side to permanently add the conveyor racks? when needed lift the sides up and lock into place and lower when not needed.

Thanks for this! I have a couple questions. After moving inside the house, do you still smell anything while using it? And if you are venting out of the house do you think you need the air filter at all? Thanks again!
@andrewbrown8148 Жыл бұрын
That's a great cart that could work for multiple purposes. Your opening shot showed the conveyor all set up with the xTool. When using it in the house, will you be rolling it up to another flat surface (table?) in order to set it up or are you planning a collapsible "infeed/outfeed" table of sorts that attaches to the cart in order to use the conveyor? Thanks for the files~!!

We will use folding party tables with whatever shims are necessary to get to the same height as the cart surface.

@@JayBates Cool, thanks for the elaboration~!

is it really necessary to flip the whole model? looks very symmetrical so can't you just spin the top around 180 and slot in on either way?
@williammaxwell1919 Жыл бұрын
Instead of "flipping" end to end, standardise the cable holes to both ends, make the back panel so it can be swap around when assembling to get the exhaust ports in the right location, then it's just a matter of how you orientate the machine. This would negate having to tell the CNC operator to flip the model or them forgetting to do it

True. But the goal wasn't to provide a free product that accommodates everyone. The goal was to get a cart that I wanted and offer the files for free.

Are you thinking about an in-feed and out-feed for the conveyor system?

With the bed size at 26" and the depth of the machine just under that, is it actually possible to cut out these files entirely on the stool (obvious caveat of ripping material down to 26" width on another saw.) It would be cool to make its own stand.

Love your content! Don't have a CNC but your thought process is still very insightful and useful for 'regular' woodworking 🙂 Quick question if you don't mind. I'm a teacher, been for 14 years now. What was the reasoning behind keeping your daughter home schooled? I'm not one to judge at all but I really like hearing people's thoughts on topics in my field (education). Thanks and keep up the great content and wish your wife good luck with her side business! 🙂

does the cabinet move around much to the P2 vibrations? does it affect the quality of the work. myself still deciding fixed or mobile(currently fixed but mobile optiomn would be nice :)

How do you support the product through the pass through?
@JayBates10 ай бұрын
Folding card tables and spacers to get it to the same height. I haven't had much success with the pass through feeding properly.
