I'm more than sure Tom had been already approached by Simon to write for 1D album at that time. Simon is definitely thinking few steps ahead but he didn't have that much luck with people he was working with. With few exceptions, they were either talented but too diva and ambitios to work hard or they were hardworking but boring and uncharismatic, so the image creation and maintenance was too costly. 1D guys had it all - talent, charisma, sincerity and, very importantly, they are focused and hardworking. They stayed grounded and wasn't caught up in fame as much as they could have been, given the scale of their success. That's why it worked out. Yes, they were overworked by the time of hiatus but they probably couldn't be anything else, because it's in their nature, well, in most of them. I'm so glad to come upon this band recently. This season was truly like watching a supernova bein born. Actually I don't even care in the slightest that they didn't win, it only gave them the opportunity to set new goals. Who knows if they'd be that determined, had they won this competition. And I'm even happier to know my all time favourite band worked with my new faves and wrote some of their best songs

Looking at Konnie Huq reminds me of Terry Hatcher of Desperate Housewives. They've the same haircut.

1D and Robbie worked great together because it looked fun. Matt and Rihanna were a proper duet.But I am sorry, Christina gave no room to Rebecca (probably because Rebecca has a more beautiful voice than her :P) and Cher and Will were (I am sorry), but it was a bit boring, I mean I watched the whole thing and right now I can't even remenber which song Cher and Will performed together. It was forgetable and it hurt her chance at winning.
