I'm new to SF. Combos are really hard for me. I can read the description of the inputs. I just wonder if you're supposed to hit the buttons in in succession as fast as you can, or is there a certain timing/window of time where you input next move. It's more luck than skills that's gotten me past level 3 in challenges with Ryu

There is a precise timing. When comboing normals you have to wait the end of the first animation (or just a little before) and then LINK the second one (example MP->MP with Ryu). You can also CANCEL normals into special moves by pressing the special input during the execution of a normal (example crouching MK->Hadoken with Ryu). If you have doubts for a particular challenge watch its demonstration and pay attention to the "blink" sounds to get the right timing.

If you plan to play a lot of Fighting Games it may be a good idea. Keep in mind that there are some great players using a pad, like the Nash one in the video.

earlier in the set, sonicfox was crossing him up a lot. Du tried to adjust and block the crossup setup, but Sonicfox knew that Du would be looking for the crossup and Sonicfox stayed on the same side. Sonicfox set up the mixup you are talking about in the previous games.

slide goes under fireballs and her hop kick f hk has lower body projectile invincibility as well. Her best option imo when it comes to punishing fireballs is her ex raida since it goes through fireballs and gives you a knockdown.

you can notice the diff tho. Sako's ibuki is very footsie heavy. The button placement is more on point. But those are from the matches i seen. He doesnt end up using the bomb as comeback material, cause he gets the damage in a lot more i would say.

Mike i dont think that's true necessarily. It looks like Sonic has a better understanding of Ibuki right now. His hit confirms are better and his anti airs and combos are pretty flawless already.

It went back to 3rd strike kunais. In 3rd strike, you could smack them since they had low priority. You dont need an anti air to hit them...you can use regular normals, anti air is just better suited since she is in the air.

+Dayze 213 She's not missing anything, she translated exactly into the kind of character she would be in a game like SFV. She's just like Ken - has a lot of tools, and has to rely on specific buttons in specific ways until she gets a good hit confirm off a mp or frame trap. Where Ken gets damage and corner carry on a carefully pressed counter, Ibuki gets mixup options. Ken still has more power overall it seems, but Ibuki has a 3f move and gimmicks.
