excellent! I just bought a Shure SM 35 headset singing microphone, which uses a four pin mini XLR and requires phantom power. I want to go directly to my portable amplifier and did not want to use a body pack. I just got off the phone with Shure tech Support And the I was really impressed when I showed this to him. They have a lot of people that call in looking for something like this. he is sending me some links to the adapters I will need to connect everything

Thanks for your interesting presentation. What happens if I connect the Xvive P1 to a mixer input with 48V phantom active ? I know that P1 has been designed to solve the opposite problem, i.e. when phantom power is not available, but it may happen that one connects the P1 output cable to an XLR input with 48 V on pins 2-3. Thanks

Excellent review thank you. I wonder can a power-bank be left connected to the device while in use? The reason I'm asking is for live broadcast that are around 2 hours long, and I'd prefer not to be worried about the unit stopping during the broadcast!

its battery life is 14hrs to 40hrs, it depends on your Mic

Kennis, have you tried running the P1 output into a Camera with an adapter cable ? I just purchased one hoping i could power my Rode NTG2 into my camera but all i get is a -12db static or hiss. When you tried this setup, did you need a special cable or something to get your mic to sound clean ?

Will it "POP" when you switch on and off the unit? Will it also POP when you disconnect any of the audio wires?

I need something to increase the gain of my shure sm58 wired mic to my Thump GO which does not have phantom power. Will the P1 provide gain for my sm58 dynamic without damage to my mic? The mic is just too low gain for the Thump GO. Thanks
