Great guide! I would also recommend to get a pet as soon as you are able to upgrade your house as there's a pet derby in spring, if you win you could get 5000G in normal difficulty.

After doing a quick playthrough , this video made me want to start a new game. I've been researching videos for tips on this new release, and I have to admit your videos are my favorite. This made me feel so unproductive 😂 I didn't even know we could do this much as soon!! I'm day 3 and just completed the coop😥 But i think everyone has their own style of going along with this game and it's supposed to be relaxing, so trying to complete everything you did in the video would make me so stressed bc i need to do a lot in little time but I'm thankful for your video because after getting used to the game probably I'll want to know how to be more productive in future saves & also can set my goals rn so i know what I should complete sooner. Yeah, it can be a bit much if you place a "time limit" (so to speak) in the game, I just wanted to show that it's possible to do all these things in the first week of the game, lol. Also, since this was a third save file so already got used to the game at this point. I did say in the tips and tips video to play at your own pace and enjoy the game (which is, honestly, the best way to play these games). :D

Thank you so much, this was a very detailed breakdown of how to get started effectively. I loved having a small list of checkpoints each day to ensure you were making proper use of time. The only obstacle I encountered was that bridge. I had to restart to ensure I didn’t miss them being closed on the Tuesday.

I love how different this game is compared to Friends of Mineral Town. My to-do list is always growing lol I do like that the mining in Poot is alot easier or it is to me. I just wish time stopped like in Fomt. I still don't understand why the critics were so harsh on this game. I absolutely love it so far.

I think it's because of how time moves so fast and they feel like they're always rushing or something? Or maybe because they compared it to Stardew Valley? Haha, I don't really get why they were so harsh but I do have some complaints about the game.

Great guide, it's really useful! For the sprinklers it might be better to wait until unlocking the improved ones at lvl8 fieldwork since they're so much more effective, or at least don't put sprinklers for all the crop plots. That way, you also level up your fieldwork skill quicker, meaning you get to lvl9 faster to unlock lots of seeds at the general store 😊 Glad I found your channel, your SoS PoOT videos are full of useful info. Yeah, the upgraded sprinklers are better (it's what I am using now) for "end game", but for starting your farm and allowing you to do other things while you're still at low level, the normal sprinklers works wonders. :) Also, thank you for the sub! :D

You can complete the coop and build your house on day one if you are quick enough and are playing on Seedling Mode if you want by first upgrading your house which only costs 1,000 G an 20 wood and then eating something that will give you enough stamina which you can buy food or cook it yourself (I suggest cook it because if you have something in your makers which are processing for the next day you can speed up time here and give the extra leftovers to villagers like grilled fish or some extra onions for vegetable salad or Ralph likes Shellfish Soup for example as one of his favorite gifts and is a major love point bonus and if you give this to him by picking the blood clams in your beach on the first area of your farm you should see his first heart even cutscene by the like, fourth or fifth day of spring he's the easiest to marry)

We get a quality sprinkler at some point too? I haven't unlocked those yet so I've been waiting to craft sprinklers. After Summer I want to destroy my crop area and make it nice with paths and stuff.

Yes. You get an upgraded sprinkler (called Enhanced Sprinkler) that has a wider area of reach but is so awkward to position, lol. It's unlocked at Level 8 Fieldwork.

How do you get the hoe for planting seeds? It doesn’t show in my tool bag. And Where do you get the food for the chicken once it’s tamed in the chicken coop?

The hoe is given to you on the second day by the Mayor (as part of the tutorial). As for the feed, you can buy it from the animal store (the store to the left of the town entrance when you're coming from your farm) or you can choose to just let the chickens graze (by ringing the bell) if you want to save money (except when it's raining).

Well, that's the whole point of the game. To get more tourists for Olive Town. That's why you're also doing the Town Quests. The more tourists there are, the more visitors there are in your Olive Town.

Hmmm...that actually depends. If you feel like you still managed to have done enough, then I'd suggest against restarting. Also if you feel you might get tired of having to replay the game from the start.

It's not random. It is given to you the day after a rainy day. The weather is the one that was random. It's something I already made a point in saying in my 20 Tips and Tricks video which was published prior to this one.

The Expansion Pass is still being sold and it's still on discount. It's not a limited-event thing. As to whether they'll release the DLCs outside of the EP, I'm not really sure.

Where did you get the scooter? Also how do you catch the bugs?

You get your scooter back after doing a couple of story quests. You'll then be asked to get the parts to fix it, then you'll get it. As for "catching" bugs, you'll have to check on my Complete Museum Guide on how to get them all, but--essentially--you will need to use the camera to take photos of the wildlife (including the bugs) that appear.

You have to plant them near the beehive. To unlock the beehives, you first would need to fix the one that's in your farm.

You can plant fodder in your farm or you can purchase it from the General Store.

At the start you can purchase a couple of fodders (depending on how many livestock you have), then plan fodder as well. Just keep watering them (until they're fully grown) and leave them there. Then just get your animals to graze (by hitting the bell) so you don't have to feed them. Just use your fodder during rainy or bad weather (and harvest the fodder if it is rainy and you don't have any). That should keep you going.

The chicken is only around up to a specific time. Sometimes it moves around and gets hidden by the grass or trees.

Unfortunately, that's one of the things you cannot change in the game (though you can rename your farm's facilities, you can't change your name, gender, and the name of your farm. Same goes for the animals' name and the name of your child).

The basic ones are given to you at the very beginning. The others, as I've mentioned in my other videos, are given once your unlocked their requirements.

They do take up too much space and a bit of time to process things but I personally think they're not really annoying. Especially not when you upgraded to the better makers you unlock with higher skill levels.

Play time: 3.... hours and 58 minutes. That means each day is over a half hour long? Wow. That seems absurdly long. Pioneering progress: No idea what that is. Field Level: No idea what that is. Follower Sprites: Not super sure on what that is. Museum Collection: TWELVE PERCENT? This has gotta be a tiny museum if you are up to 12% in a week. Total Tourists: I know you need to help bring more of them but no idea how many you can get. Total Profits: 18K????? IN YOUR FIRST WEEK? Either things are going to be getting really expensive or money is basically not even going to be an issue, and you managed to get a cook and barn, with starter cow and chicken, for minimal work. _EDIT: I may have to rethink this after seeing a gain of 50k for ten days of fishing in stardew..._ Skills, you already have a few at level 4. Seems like they don't take long to fill up to 10, unless there is a big exp curve? Are those all the items you can craft? Only around 35? I heard there were a ton of makers but there didn't seem to be too many? Oh, I think one of those things was a box, so maybe you can make a box in the first week? I get the feeling that this game might be a little lacking in depth. The township seems kinda small, most of the stuff is farming your own area. It's weird that you can have a barn, better tools, lumber makers, and even a better house all in one week, but no box to store things in? I would love to know more about how big this world is compared to other games, like Stardew Valley. I used to be a big Havest Moon fan, before it became Story of Seasons, but I'm just not sure that it really comes across as having anything really more interesting anymore, especially at such a high price point and with all the loading screens.

- Each second in real life is 1 minute in the game and you're allowed to play until 2:00AM in the game (since you end up passing out at 2:01AM). - Pioneering progress is how far off you are in fixing the town via the Town Hall requests. - Field Level is how high the quality of your land is. This is upgraded via the Shrine and you need to pay for it (more on that in my next video). - Follower Sprites are those little creatures that jump out and run away whenever you do farming tasks or mine. You use them in the Earth Sprite Village to delegate to find stuff for you. - The Museum is pretty small, but getting all the photos, fish, and treasures takes a looooong time since there are various factors that affect getting them in the first place. - The tourists you can get by improving the town and by donating to the museum. I haven't reached the maximum just yet but the max I have so far is 242. - I sold the medals which helped net that profit. As well as gems I found (by luck!) in the mines as I was playing. I haven't cooked a single meal in the game yet, lol, and just sell what I forage or what I end up getting in the farm and the mines, plus the fish and the coins. And, yeah, there is an experience curve. In one of my save files most of my skills are already level 7 and it takes a while for them to jump to the next level. Also, these are not all the things you can craft. You unlock more as you level up your skills and since I'm still at a low level, there are a bunch of other makers (the Seed and the Seedling Maker, for instance) not yet unlocked. You need to craft the storage box and there are plenty of things to do that I didn't show here (mostly story things since I didn't want to spoil THAT). There are also other places to visit once you get to a high enough skill level and once you finish doing certain things. I've actually barely scratched the surface in this video, haha. But, yeah, I agree with the atrocious amount of load screens. It gets annoying really fast.
