Thank you The heigt is above the bed, so able to turn 104 cm :-) The machine will be around 450 kg (empty) and with ballast around 900kg I know the stratos XL, have learned on that lathe, really good quality

Haha....No, not a hangar, a short of place I do have, but that is common to woodturning right ? I haven't found any problems to the stratos, A really solid and stable machine a joy to work at (Some things I experienced as better to handle on the stratos vs the Oneway Lathe)

Hello Kostas adding to prev comment. How old was the Olive because it's beautifully grained. I've been turning some young Olive prunnings in NZ and it's quite White with nice grain markings but minimal colour and clogs gouges quickly but seems to be very dense.

Hello Ray ! This was not so old tree maybe 50-60 years old ! Not always the olive us so hard ! But if they grow near ro a river can be hard like rock !!!

+Patrick K. This was a piece that come from a fresh log !! When you turning fresh wood you have a lot of humidity !!! So you must make it thin an warm the surface if you like to sanding it

Όχι Δημήτρη δεν έσκισε! Αυτό γιατί ήταν πολύ λεπτό έτσι αποδυναμοσα το ξύλο και δεν είχε την δύναμη να τραβήξει τόσο ώστε να το σκίσει! Επίσης δεν φτάνει να κάνεις λεπτά τα τοιχώματα πρέπει να είναι λεπτός και ο πάτος

Τρομερο! Για να γυαλοχαρταρεις μπορεις να το φυσας και με πεπιεσμενο αερα αντι να το καις. Τραβαει την επιφανειακη υγρασια. Και βεβαια υπαρχει και η λυση των μικροκυματων για λιγο μικροτερα κομματια....

+Filippos Kalamaras ειναι πιο ξυρος ηχος εκει που θελει γυαλοχαρταρισμα !! δεν ξερω γιατι συμβαινει αλλα ετσι ειναι μαλων φταιει η αντισταση που κανουν τα σημεια που θελουν περισσοτερο γυαλοχαρταρισμα !! επισεις το ξυλο σου μηλαει και αλες φορες οταν ειναι πανω στον τορνο σου λεει ποσες στροφες χρειαζετρε πιο πολες η πιο λιγες και αν το σκαρπελο που δουλευεις ειναι καταλιλο αν θελει πιο μεγαλο πιο μηκρο !!!!

να μην επιλέγεις σάπια κούτσουρα για τορνιρισμα γιατί μπορεί να σπάσει το κούτσουρο στον τόρνο και να προκληθεί κανένα ατύχημα την άλλη φορά που είδα 1 βίντεο σου που σου έσπασε το κούτσουρο μπορούσες όμως να βάλεις ένα τοίχο από χοντρη λαμαρίνα προς την μεριά σου για ασπίδα και να σπάσει το ξύλο τα θραύσματα να τα φάει η λαμαρίνα και να καμεις ένα κενό στην λαμαρίνα ίσα ίσα να χεις 1 τζαμακι πλαστικό να βλέπεις το χειρισμό του σκαρπελου1 κενό να χωρέσει μόνο το σκαρπελο σε σχήμα παυλας να σε σίγουρος σε περίπτωση προβλήματος να σου δώσει χρόνο να αντιδράσεις με ασφάλεια αν πάει κάτι στραβά στα ξύλα που βάζεις στον τόρνο .

σε ευχαριστω πολυ για την συμβουλη !! Καθομαι παντα σε θεση ασφαλιας οταν φυγει πανο απο τον τορνο ενα κομματι ξυλο παντα φευγει σε συγκεκριμενα σημεια !!! αν βαλω κατι για προστασια μπροστα θα με δυσκολευει παρα πολυ στην δουλεια μου !! και δουλευω σκισμενα κομματια γιατι εχουν περισσοτερες λεπτομεριες και επιδη ειναι εφθραστα εχεις μεγαλητερη αυτοσυγκεντροση και ετσι γυνεσαι πολυ καλητερος στην χρηση τον εργαλειων !!! και αν δεν ρισκαρουμε και λιγο δεν εχει νοημα δεν ειναι extreme sport !!! χαχαχαχα σε ευχαριστω και παλι αδελφε !!!

O.k. καλός τεχνίτης στον τόρνο υπάρχει ένας κριτικός μιχανουργος ο χαλασις οταν δείτε τα βίντεο του που κάνει επισκευές σε ότι διποτε αφορά μιχανολογικο και κάνει προτοτυπες πατέντες και μινει εκπλικτος αλλά τα ξυλουργικα είναι ωραία έχω φτιάξει και εγώ διάφορα πράγματα με ξύλα από χρόνια .

Ναι τον ακολουθω ειναι φοβερος !! θελω και εγω καποια στημη να παρω ενα μηχανουργικο τορνο αλλα για να μπορεσω να συνδιασω το μεταλο με το ξυλο !!! δυστιχως η αορα του μεγαλου τορνου για τις αναγκες της παραγωγης μου με αφησε αφραγκο !!! χαχ α χαχα !!! απο που ειστε ??
