FACTS! Gideon was also my favourite as a kid and still is to this day. I just wish his redemption could have been built up to a bit more naturally. Really hoping post-series he gets over his Mabel obsession, and they can go back to being friends. I agree Bud is awful and is definitely a large part of the reason why Gideon is the way he is It's a shame Dipper never actually did tell Mabel about what he did. I'm hoping it happened off screen It was also confirmed in journal 3 collectors edition that the magic amulet Gideon used corrupts the user. I wish the show could have delved into this fact because most people aren't aware he wasn't always a bad kid
