Your cantonese is so good. All the Chinese phrases are beyond me. Some of the beliefs are practical, but some are too stressful to follow. Thanks for sharing all yummy food🤩🤩🤩.

Thank you Elmo for another good episode on Ipoh's Food and featuring Ipoh's Stadium Medan Selera. A couple of other good stalls includes - Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun, Seng Loong's Char Kuey Teow , Ming Kee Wantan Mee ( closed as illustrated in your esisode - also one of the more higher priced Wantan Mee in Ipoh - but it's very good and have that Cantonese Wantan Mee smell and taste ) and Ipoh's rojak and Yau Yee Oong Choy ( cuttle fish with kangkong ) and Just nicely boiled See Hum with it's special chilli sauce ( used to be a corner stall prepared by an elderly "plumb"uncle and wife - before the renovation). Thank you again and Happy Chinese New Year 2022 Elmo.

Yeah. The name "Hor Hee" is a strange term for non-Ipoh/non-Kinta Valley folks. Fortunately I am familiar with it since my dad is from Gopeng

Two tofu Fa places I recommend are Big Mom Beancurd and Woong Kee Beancurd. Both are located a stone's throw from each other. They are just as good as funny mountain without the price. Quite near to that Nasi Ganja place.

I never knew the Cantonese associated things like porridge as being poor because that's the same in my culture and our saying like... it's better to eat your own old porridge than a rich man's deserts etc. I probably think there was some truth to it in the olden ages. Anyway a belated Gong Xi Fatt Chai.
