Excuse me. Unfortunately, there are only books in Japanese. The original content of this textbook is based on books from the 1880s. dl.ndl.go.jp/pid/935911/1/1 This is also in Japanese, but you may be able to imagine it by looking at the design. please refer.

Thank you for your work. A question for the Togegumi (10.41min) the distance chosen arbitrarily? Are there any standards? 0.8mm?
@woodwork--hatanaka-koubou10 ай бұрын
Sorry, I don't understand the meaning of your question, so it's difficult to answer. The value of Tougezumi cannot be determined arbitrarily. It varies depending on the ratio of the sides of the roof slope. Also, please feel free to ask any questions.

Great. It's a pity that it was not translated in English. Is there an English version of the book?

Hello! Thank you for sharing your knowledge. It's priceless. Is there any chance to post a link to this and similar books with japanese carpentry joinery? I can't read Japanese yet so I am not able to find it.. If I get one I will start studying Japanese language and carpentry. Thank you in advance. Arigato Gizaimasu!

Thank you for your comment. Thank you for your interest in Japanese architecture. I would like to introduce Japanese books from about 100 years ago that are available from Japanese libraries. dl.ndl.go.jp/pid/935911/1/1 The text is in Japanese, but the illustrations are also included, so please take a look at them for reference.

I have made errors in my attempts to make the tenon on the hip rafter where it connects to the post. The 45📐 notch on hip rafter is short. But the irinaka is right. What am I doing wrong

@woodwork--hatanaka-koubou Жыл бұрын
thank you. I think that there are parts that are difficult to understand because of the Japanese expressions, but I will add English subtitles. Please give me some time.
