塩田剛三(渋川剛気)直伝「警視庁機動隊 合気道 実戦即応技」森道治 師範 Aikido Special Class by Mori Shihan 8th Dan 2021

The purpose of this class is to learn how to apply Aikido techniques in reality. They have to be short and quick. Aikido techniques we train at the dojo are designed to train safely and thus they are not suitable to be used in reality. However, it does not mean Aikido techniques are useless. We just need to know how we can apply them in reality. That is why we had this special class for our students. Mori Sensei believes that Aikido practitioners need to learn this type of applied techniques too to be able to use Aikido outside the dojo.
Also, Aikido is not limited to self-defending, but it can be used to take the initiative. Yet, we need to practise to learn how to initiate the techniques from our side. And remember, there are no mats laid outside and we can use the hard concrete ground and walls as our weapons.

さて、現代ではどうか？ この武道を必要としているのはポリスとセキュリティーです。日本ではあまりピンと来ないかもしれないが、麻薬がピザを買うよりたやすい外国では夜の街、パーティー、コンサート等では麻薬を取っている連中と対峙する事となる。が、しかしこの連中に対してMMAの得意の打撃での対応は法的にできない。実際のセキュリティーでの話し、コンサートで、乱闘騒ぎになった。腕自慢のMMAセキュリティーはパンチ キックが法的にでき無い為この場で逃げ出したらしく、MMA が馬鹿にする合気道家がこの乱闘騒ぎに飛んで入り関節技で取り押さえ沈めたそうだ。 この様に、現代では日本の警視庁機動隊やセキュリティーなどが修得し使われている武道が合気道です。

下方に最大限のパワーを掛けるには脚を踏ん張るのではなくて、逆に脱力。さらには膝を抜くことですね。 一般の人のイメージでは踏ん張ることが力を掛けられることだと勘違いしそうですが、普通のイメージと違う身体操作を学べるところが合気道の面白さですね。 それにしてもオーストラリアのでっかい人をばんばん投げられていて凄いです。

以前に私は合気会の合気道を習っていた事が有りました。養神館の合気道の方が技が多くて実戦的に思いました。合気会の合気道は無駄な技が多くて相手を待つ技なので、攻撃的な技では無いと思いました。養神館の合気道は塩田剛三先生が、実戦的に多彩な合理的にした熟練の技と思いました。

@@user-ft6cs4pw9e さん、これは合気道を実戦技にしたセミナーだと思います。技も合気道そのものにしか私には見えません。森師範は、合気道養神館本部道場の内弟子であり先生でもあったので技は確かだと思います。 「押忍」は、朝鮮から来た言葉ではなく、旧海軍が甲板上で使った挨拶 おはようございます。を短くした「お.......す」が、海外雄飛の校風の拓殖大学体育会で使われていた言葉だと聞いています。その時の学生が、合気道の塩田剛三、柔道の木村政彦、後輩で空手の大山倍達で、合気道では養神館、柔道、空手でも「押忍」が使われています。この言葉の意味は要は相手をリスペクトする事に今では昇華して来ているので武道文化として素晴らしい言葉と私は考えています。どうでしょう？綾瀬はるかさん。

Finger locks are used extensively in Daito round Aikijutsu and Small Circle Jujitsu. They are very effective!

海外に出て衝撃だったのが合気道は武道では無いとただのコーヒーショップの店員に諭された事。 で、Brisbane の合気道 道場を観てみると気で触らず倒す、ピース&ラブ, 愛(笑) これが世界に広がる合気道の現実でした。私の所属する養神館本部では機動隊に実戦技を指導していて、これが武道合気道だと世界に知らしめていきたいと思っています。

I have had the misfortune of having to use Aikido in real life due to work multiple times. I quite often used it like Mori Sensei demonstrated in this video. Especially using the fingers to initiate a sankyo. Good stuff and I can tell from my own experience that it works.

@@aikidoyoshinkan Indeed, in fact I was working as a security guard at a hospital when I used my Aikido the most. I many times had to restrain escaping mental patients, stop drunk or drugged patients from attacking staff, and help police control prisoners there for medical treatment. Personally I think Aikido is good for everyone. Because not everyone will have to do the sorts of things I had to, but everyone will fall down multiple times in their life and ukemi is a life saver.

@@user-pe9yi8rk3i バギ見たことないのでわかりませんが、合気道は演舞のイメージが強いためなかなか理解されません、実際の闘いにおける合気道は達人と言われる域の人ならば相手がつかんだ(触れた)瞬間終わります。実際に見れば理解出来ると思います。相手が誰であろうが1対1ならばおそらく最強だと思う。達人は何がすごいのかと言えば、間合いが凄いです。相手の攻撃を受けない微妙な間合いを身体に染み込ませているので当たらないのです。

Great applications! Probably that's early Ueshiba's Aikido, seen in Yoshinkan, but also in Shodokan Aikido and in the original Daito Ryu. Both Shioda and Tomiki studied with Ueshiba before the war and supposedly at that time he practiced a hard style. Quite different to the later softer post-war Aikido!

The small circles and the linear movements make his Aikido combat effective! This reminds me of Wally Jay's Small Circle Jujitsu. Small economical circular movements are often used.

Both Shioda sensei and O'sensei said that Aikido is 70% Atemi (attacking the vital points). Atemi is used to weaken and to distract the attacker. Many techniques will not work without Atemi!

His reinterpretations are amazing. My sensei always says 'The basis are not basic'. I'm searching for my own voice within Aikido and I'm trying to make my own interpretation. In my mind, since I'm not a person to start the altercation myself, I tend to wait for the opponent to strike, but my approach is similar to his in Sokumen Iriminage - I step out of the attack, while I elbow the opponents face, then I follow through with the projection.

This is not Reinterpretation it is all standard stuff as aikido came over to Europe originally with the pioneers, but kenshiro abbe, and tadashi Abe etc. It is know within many lineages. The problem is if you teach it early on then people focus on that and not the aikido that underlies it and they just end up with physicality. There is a shitload of subtlety and technique underlying what he is doing here, even some aiki occasionally :)

@@Bad_Wulf Reinterpretation doesn't neglect the basics and the fundamentals. Those principles are immutable as they're based on biomechanics, thus they are not optional. When I state 'reinterpretation' is how Mori Shihan takes the basis and used his own voice in the application.

I cry sometimes when watching them because I would LOVE to learn Aikido but I’m 100% disabled due to Me suffering from Stage 4 Inoperable Double Lung Cancer. Nowadays, unfortunately, most Aikido schools make Aikido into just an art form. In Ki Aikido, the focus is solely on the development of Ki. Aikido has ceased to be a martial art (Budo) nowadays. However, Yoshinkan Aikido is the traditional Aikido and is effective on the street! It's similar to Aikijutsu.

Be reassured There are plenty of traditional aikido dojos practising stuff like this. Having said that a lot of this here is just small circle jujutsu with an aikido finish. All students should train in all expressions of their art. Ki tomiki, yoshinkan, traditional (the pioneers), aikikai, otherwise you get tunnel vision. And last but not least study daita Ryu which is all aikido is. :)

@@M1984FA Well, I'm guessing you don't read Japanese because that's exactly what the title says -- "Combative practical techniques of Aikido for Metropolitan Police Department Riot Squad directly transmitted by Gozo Shioda." While there may be politics involved, it still doesn't change the fact that these modified Aikido techniques were indeed taught to the riot police. Anti-riot training isn't all about firing rubber bullets and tear gas and beating protestors with batons. The quick takedown, joint lock, and arresting techniques shown can come in handy too.

You cannot do Aikido while holding a shield and baton. It just isnt a plausible claim. Only select members are sent to do Aikido, not the whole of the riot squad. The reason for this is that it is for the hard militaristic style of training, not for learning practical skills. Most police around the world learn restraint techniques, without having to do an intensive 11 month long course.

合気会で学んでいました。今は少林寺拳法を学んでいますが、技に類似点が見受けられます。例えば「小手返」は、少林寺拳法では「逆小手」で、「四方投」は「片手投」と言います。この動画を拝見し、投げ技や関節技は似通ってくるものと思えてなりません。

外部の人間がセミナーなどで参加出来こういった実戦的ものを表に出して教えていった方が広まっていくんじゃないでしょうか？ 結構実戦的な物をださなかったり、素人に難解な内容が表に出て混乱するのと、演武とかが速すぎて、それは内部向けのように感じます。 枝分かれしすぎているのも問題で一般ではどこにしようか迷ったり。 結論的何ヶ月かで実用出来る動きを教えていかないと、合気道をやろうという人口は増えていかないんじゃないでしょうか？　 一般的にイメージ的に実際使えるようになるのに5ー20年かかるみたいに見えてしまってます。

素晴らしいコメントありがとうございます。 僕は 高校の時にボクシングジムに通っていてやればやるほど掴まれるのが怖いと思ったのと、体重差があると試合にならない、 対武器多人数に対しての教えが無いというのに疑問を感じていました。そんな時、合気道の本と出会い 小さい力で相手を制すとあり、対武器や多数に対しても練習すると書いてある。 これが知りたかった事だと思い養神館の内弟子になりました。 がしかし、正直なところ稽古では 伝統を重んじ技を変えない現代に適合せずに行くのが本部だと諭されました。それはそれで正しいと思います。これが現代の合気道です。 そこで、わたしは独立して道場を開いてからは、基本は守りつつも合気道の実戦技を追求し、合気道家にしか通じない技ではなく、ストリートで使える合気道を研鑽して来ました。この動画を観て参考にして頂ければ幸いです。又 他の動画も観て頂きたく思います。押忍

No disrespect Mori Sensei but from my opinion, bringing Aikido to the western world Is as good as teaching buffaloes how to scale a tree. Lol. Only size and might prevailed anything else in their most bigoted beliefs (other than your students hopefully). The beauty and essence of Aikido would always run contrary to their obsession with victory and domination.

Mate, I'm not sure what you are trying to get at here... But Mori Sensei is bringing back authentic aikido to a world that has digested too much b&*#$hi!. The Western World needs aikido more than ever as its consuming and normalising violence at a ridiculous rate. Aikido is A KEY to reversing such a scary phenomenon. Osu!
