[TRANSLATION]: This is a character's story from a chinese game calls YinYangShi, which is a game human trying to live with non-humans (monsters) together and guard the peace. In the beginning, the girl was pretending to be a poor human singer but actually she is not human, she use the same name with a famous monster calls BuZhiHuo(Fire Of NoWhere), the boy is a human trying to find the famous monster. 05:17, When the girl refused the rich guy's gifts (the rich guy wants to buy her) , the rich guy was angry and told everyone she is the famous monster and all people trying to kill her. The boy went to save her but lost one eye. She was shoot by the human at the end and sacrificed herself and saved the boy. 08:18, The boy grow old and tells this story to boat passengers, the man with blue clothes (8:18) is the main character of the whole game, he find the girl back eventually, and take her back to a city calls 'PingAnCapital', where human and monsters live together peacefully. Thats the story.

"Jiyuu ni naritiai." = "I want to be free." the girl is a spirit (ayakashi) and she's like trapped and the onmyouji helped her gain her freedom idk by getting killed because that's how most immortals become free (like CC of Code Geass).

So the ruler's (or some rich boy?idk)love is rejected by the dancer girl, the ruler attacks the dancer and spread the news that she is an ayakashi. "Up until now,thank you" "I want to be free"she said to the onmyouji. I think he was want to hunted some ayakashi,but fell in love with her instead. Maybe incorrect but i just understand some part of it. Sorry for my bad English xD
