Mostly labour charging above basement . Below basement work wages belong to house owner, so more than 50% labour wages saved in labour contract. Basement work needs more labourers. In labour contract sunshade , loft area added separately, staircase area minimum 100 sqft in labour contract.

Basically contractors claim 10 to 15% for new projects it's depends upon project total construction cost and it's location if construction cost is more then they will reduce the cost. For renovation work need to check what kind of renovation it is also may be start from 10% or less. Check with contractors

Contractors and engineers are looting a lot of money. Building home on our own by buying materials and with only mason contract will be around 1500 Rs./ sq. Feet instead of 2500Rs./sq.

If your cost is 1500 ,you must not added small expenses cost because it will not noted due to small or single pay but while in compounding its makes huge amount, add your expence like tea, vechile fuild, your salary, your lost payoff, it will be more than 2200 I am sure .
