Dave and the Boys were/are awesome..... Most underrated band there ever was.. Check out Daves solo work... Incredible and Bluesy.... Long time fan..... Thanks for many great songs, shows and the best soundtrack a teenager could have had growing up in the 80's and 90's.... FOREVER!

i first saw Y&T when i was 13, i snuck into a show at the cotati theater and i was hooked, i'm turning 41 tuesday and this music is just as good now as it was then. GO DAVE! I LOVE YOU GUYS!

+Angela DeSilva I have Strangers in the Night, I never heard the Y&T live album, I will check it out... I still have their first two vinyl albums and saw them live in Amsterdam in 192, one of the best gigs I ever saw.

+Angela DeSilva to me strangers in the night is the best but thats fair to pick Y&T also, to me they're different categories anyway, both bands can be quite melodic and do that very well, but i see UFO more a very hard rock band and Y&T is more heavy metal band and for heavy metal as much as i like Y&T, iron maiden gets the vote for best heavy metal album with live after death, but Y&T doesn't get quite the same recognition as others bands but in many ways they're superior, david meniketti could sikng and play the guitar so well, they have two f the best ballads as far as i'm concerned, with believe in you and winds of change.

These guys a probably the greatest example of top notch instrumentality! I always really dug Y&T. They're a big influence in my own playing & songwriting. Power & soul put in to a marvelous package. PS...anybody else notice that the rhythm for the chorus is identical to "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" by Zeppelin?

Two friends and I hung out with these guys in their RV in 1977 after a concert at a high school in Cupertino, CA ! Leonard Haze had an amazing right bass drum foot. These guys were very cool. RIP L. Haze, P. Kennemore and J. Alves!

My big brother (now passed on) got me into these guys at a very young age. I was only 11 in 82 when he took me to see them at the STONE in SF on Broadway (now a strip club) and they mesmerized me. Instantly fell in love with the hooks and melodies...'FOREVER' hooked

Oh wow, such memories...... Nothing like the 80's. My friend and I went to every show we could. Pays to know a roadie. Dave, Phil and Joey what a bunch of nice guys! Love this video especially the cute shimmy at 4:05 . So many great memories of those Y&T days !! I am glad to see Dave is still out there keeping his talent alive and well!!

1987 Contagious kick major ass, cruising Friday summer nights in Little Rock, Arkansas. Summer time Girls is another good song to react to. Sadly very underrated in the much appreciated but highly overloaded Hard Rock hair bands of the 80's.

I saw Y&T in Paradiso in Amsterdam in 1982 and it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen, they played every song perfectly it was like someone had put on their record. The performance in this video is awesome too, and Rescue Me always was my favorite song.

March 1983...13 years old...San Jose Civic Auditorium. On the Saturday night, a day before my buddy and I did our first Mercury News 10k in San Jose, his dad dropped us off at the San Jose Civic Auditorium for Y&T. Rescue Me was obviously the encore and we were sitting in the balcony left of stage. As he got close to the guitar solo, Dave disappears from stage. A couple seconds later, the spot light hits us and he's right next to us jamming out the solo. Those moments are so engrained in that "being a rocker kid" DNA. I don't think I slept that night and I know I ran the next day with that Les Paul still ringin in my ear. Like yesterday.

Saw Y&T many times in SF...but the most memorable was a show at Monte Vista High School in Danville in 1984...small HS lunchroom setting...only about 300 people there...loud as hell and awesome. Y&T was soooo underrated. Still love 'em.
