They are completely focused on the worst things, like dissecting their happy memories in the globe, the cut on their hand, the frayed button on their sleeve. I discovered this song earlier this year. I don't understand the lyrics, but I feel healed whenever I'm listening to it. Whenever I'm feeling down or having problems, I'll just listen to his and it makes me feel a lot better. I really love both the self-cover and the vocaloid ver (idk what to call it I'm sorry). Thank you so much for this beautiful song, it became my comfort song ever since.

これはあくまで推測ですがこの物語に出てくるキャラクターは引きこもりの息子と親で今日こそは息子が来ると思って机に食器を用意しているがその思いも虚しくだんだん置いていたカトラリーが錆びていった。息子もこんな事ダメだと分かっているけどなかなか言い出せない。 最後辺りのケーキが置いていたシーンは息子の誕生日で今日も息子は来ないのかなと薄々思っている母。けれどやっと息子が心を開いて 部屋から出てきた。という推測でした！

To those arguing if this is a gay or straight relationship, there is a possible answer on the top left corner of the screen in 3:38. There is a window with a rainbow on it. This may or may not display that the animation or music video is referring to a gay relationship as it may also be straight and the rainbow could show that the two people have gone through the rain and storm and ended in a happy manner. I’m leaning onto both theories as the cutlery, that was once broken, is now fixed up just like their relationship. Now, this is applicable to both straight and gay relationships but if one takes it into a lgbtq+ perspective, it’s more reasonable and plausible that the two are males despite one of them having a rather feminine feature. Another thing I’d like to point out, like another viewer had mentioned, is that at the very end, the male/female came up to the viewers and drew the curtains. This shows that we’re just people looking through a window. And windows don’t always show all of the house. This also displays to us how we’ll never find the full story of something unless we are them. Their perspectives are different throughout this entire music video and it showed varying views. Us viewers theorizing about the two people in this music video could show that we, as the people looking through windows, would not get the full story, hence the reason why we are theorizing. Nonetheless, theories are theories.
