So no, this was not originally a bug, they did intentionally give you 3 seconds of spawn immunity in order to prevent being killed while loading in. The bug was that the immunity remained after loading in, that was fixed by them adding a new packet that's sent when you're all loaded in, so the server can instantly clear your immunity

@@JaviXDWasa It's existed since 1.6 I think, and nobody thought it was intended for what it was being used for anyway. It's still present on multiplayer servers to prevent joining and instantly dying which is why it existed in the first place - but that never happens on singleplayer anyway because it's your world only. How is there not something wrong with being able to easily log out at any danger and simply survive it despite lack of proper preparation that should have been made. What's the point of survival if you're not even doing it properly.

They really shouldn't have removed this bug because it can really help players from other players or mobs from killing them instantly, really weird of them for removing it without consideration but maybe they'll just add it back as an actual intended feature

The intended feature is for right after you've respawned. Not when you log into a singleplayer world exactly as it left off.
