Honestly, as someone who wanted Trunks vs Silver even if it was the stomp that is the original and a big fan of Sonic, Silver winning after EVERYTHING he has been through when it comes to VS debates, everyone said Trunks would win, everyone made animations about him being killed by Trunks, his rough upbringing, ALL OF THIS is the most inspiring thing in the world. As if he went through a big beat-up scene and decides to go ALL IN to get the win where it truly mattered. I've never been so proud of my socially awkward boy

This episode, while it was awesome, and I'm kind of happy Trunks is finally allowed to take an L in a vs show, left me with a few intrusive thoughts about future DBs, including the next one. First, since they were able to cover a character that mostly exists in a Japan exclusive card based arcade gacha game, there's no excuse for them not to do a Fate match at this point. That series is far more accessible and way less complicated. Second, SpongeBob is coming to Death Battle. On one hand, I'm pretty excited, since SpongeBob is an all time classic (you know its original seasons are great when even 4 bad seasons in a row can't ruin its legacy). On the other, I'm already a bit burned out on how overhyped toon force is these days, and SpongeBob beating even a variation of a DC herald won't help. Still, at least it's not another "family friendly character destroys an edgy badass character". Third, if the next one isn't Jason vs Michael, or at least a good slasher themed episode, then what is DB even doing? And finally, as much as I'd kind of prefer another matchup for RWBY than the one you're thinking of, I'd still like it quite a bit, and that would explain why the in-house team hasn't done an episode yet. In any case, aside from the Halloween match and Sauron's (assuming Sauron's isn't the Halloween episode, which would be a weird choice, but not impossible), that leaves two possible slots for a RWBY match to happen, so I guess we'll see.

The VA’s name is also ‘It’s no use’ backwards and JYB voiced Ichigo, but they used a fake name for the VA (Adam Park, his character in Power Rangers.) Also, SpongeBob vs Aquaman (Super Friends) is likely being done to have a dream match of SpongeBob vs his super hero idol at his prime (Mermaid man is likely based on this version of Aquaman in particular.)

While I found the fight exciting, I personally have to disagree with Trunks losing. Yeah, Archie Silver is strong, but I've literally seen calcs that put Xeno Trunks way higher than him even when Xeno is in base form.
