This is a very simple install..pop off the intake and slap her in its place assuming you have the proper tensioner and supporting mods..The inlet is. It an issue at all just simply connect the linkage 🤷♂️.. if you are still unsure check out Mustang Magic in Deer Park NY (a bit far from fl I know but they are very good and one of the best ford shops in the country) I trust them and they do great work

The super charger setup is fairly easy to install if you have a weekend and all the parts laid down... 4.6 engines are about $2 at any junkyard, bolt this on your engine now and have fun at low boost as you build a junk yard motor, then swap and have fun. The worst thing you can do is take your project down during summer... you’ll just be upset that you’re loosing drive time. There’s a ton of extra parts and even a super low budget 4.6 build will end up costing you over $2k for proper internals. Drive now, get extra engine, be happy you didn’t stop driving.

its belt driven... install it yourself. also get urself a water to water incooler kit from zzp performance. u can find it under the grand prix section obviously cause its a m90 blower... ur gonna get heat soaked like mad with that massive 4.6 and heat plus blowers is soooooooo bad
@allanb32225 жыл бұрын
That intercooler setup is a different platform for the gtp. It won't fit inside the intake manifold of the 4.6.
@robsorgdrager84775 жыл бұрын
It has a water fed heat exchanger right now, it's in the intake mani.
@madmod5 жыл бұрын
@Tristan HopkinsName refers to cubic inches of air per rotation. M90 being 90ci and 112, 122 etc etc. Also ford picked the m112 for their cars. They werent just made for ford. Jag used them on the xk series. M90s were even used on aston martins.
@madmod5 жыл бұрын
@Tristan Hopkins smaller blower but the smaller rotor packs have better efficiency at high rpm than an m112 and as long as you can fight the heat with a good intercooler/meth you can support good power. The superchargers they sell for 05-10 3v 4.6 is still a eaton m90 rotor pack and the Gen v m90 is more efficient than a Max ported Gen 3 and has seen 400hp on a 3.8 with a simple plate style intercooler. On a fmic with meth you can get away with some stupid pulley ratios and get 8-10psi on a 4.6 2v.
@madmod5 жыл бұрын
@Tristan Hopkins Well if by pi you mean performance improved then yes I'd say they were improved to see lower iat's with a less restrictive outlet. The inlet porting varies a lot between them but I believe the Magnuson Powers case (mp90) is being used for big hp applications because with the stock rotor pack, you can turn the blower over 20k rpm without losing efficiency. When compared to a cobra 112, they are not the most safe above 15k rpm with 17k being considered the limit. Obviously 90ci at 20+k rpm is more airflow than 112ci at 15-16k but there's more heat with the blower beating the air around. That's why I feel sourcing Gen v m90s for cheap is smarter and could lead to me building a remote blower kits for 96-04 2v mustangs Vic's and other modular powered cars. Honestly if a solid 330-400rwhp is wanted on a budget, the Gen v can handle it and I can get gen3 m90s all day for 100$ if anyone wants a few which are still good for 350whp without a crazy amount of work.

Also check out Andrew Lavender’s channel. He has a high horsepower turbo 2V mustang. He’s somewhere in East/middle Tennessee. He’s been to some very bad machine shops and he’s also learned the weaknesses of the 2V engine - especially in the timing chain system.

Bump the boost up. She will be fine with a solid tune at higher boost. I'm running 10 on my everyday tune and 13 pounds on e85 for an all out tune. All on the 130k mile stock bottom end. I'm also in the process of building a basic motor that will be good for 750 HP. Best part is that build is only about $1500 in parts.
@michaelharris7485 жыл бұрын
I agree people need not worry as much about milage and boost worry more about making sure your tune is spot on and you run the best fuel possible and DONT CHEAP OUT on fueling upgrades thats the number one way ppl fuck shit up when boosting their ride. That stuff matters way more than running a little more boost or having 100k+. On these modern fords long as its maintained well you should be good...do fuel mods and cooling mods...add 10-12 psi depending what fuel youre running and MAKE sure you have a good tune from a good tuner...the end lol

Ive got a m90 remote kit Im throwing together for my 96 stang and i will say, your bestbet is gunna be meth to help with the heat if you cant use an intercooler. A pulley ratio of 2.35 is gunna give u about 8lbs of boost on a 4.6 2v so better get a pulley puller. For my build, i decided on a lightning lower pulley which bolts onto the stock crank pulley which moves the blowers serpantine further forward (a must when using a gen3 or gen 5 m90 from a gtp) and you can get some crazy blower drive ratios so long as u can deal with the heat some way.

I had a Series II on my '05 Mercury. Here's the thing, the M90 is way too small to make any real power on a 2V. It can't keep up. My Series II was a Magnuson MP90 with a more efficiant 21st Century intercooler, and maxed out with a 2.6" pulley, it could only belch out 320 whp & 360 whp. A Series 1 will be likely to get 300 at the wheels.

I just started following your channel and I'm liking your projects you have going on. If you don't mind traveling, I would recommend Realspeed in bohemia, long island, New York. The owners name is Dan Carlson, or even I can do the fabrication you need as well as the engine. I've made complete supercharger setups from scratch, from roots syle eatons, centrifugal vortec and Paxton novi's, as well as from scratch turbo kits, manifolds to intercooler setups, hand made aluminum intake manifolds and cnc'd intake manifolds as well. I'd love to do a project like this. I just don't know if I have the time, otherwise I'd be all over it. That's why i recommended you to Realspeed, but I can help you out if you're a little flexible on time. I'm not saying it'll take forever, but it would probably take me a couple weeks longer on the build because of my move going on right now. If you need some help hit me up, it looks like a fun project. I'm always happy to help a ford guy. I was also a senior master ford tech, completely certified in ford and ase. I've fabricated some real cool stuff from ford 302 pushrod motor setups, modular setups, ecoboost 2.0 and 2.3, as well as my own personal and customers nissan GT-R R35 parts and a lot of other platforms. So if you don't have anyone yet or anything set in stone hit me up and I'd love to see if I can help out another ford lover, especially with a cool project like this.
