Alys is real. She killed Lord Tully, remember? Lord Strong said so. Why would Helaena haunt Daemon for the purpose of helping him realize he needs to stand behind Rhaenyra? The tree thing is just the end of the process. Daemon has been learning lessons about himself the whole way, leading him to understand his place. He was never going to betray her. He just wanted to be in charge. We saw this conflict 100 times with his dreams and his moments of realization. Like literally every episode this season.

Aegon on the other hand wanted none of this shit, was forced to be a usurper, lost his only son and was burned, crippled and is impotent. And now his mother betrays him. He deserves better.

Alicent made Aegon the way he is by abusing him his whole life, neglecting him, and then brainwashing him into thinking his sister is coming for him if he is not king. She literally had him dragged kicking and screaming to his coronation, then demeaned and belittled him when he came to her for advice as king, only to serve him up on a silver platter after he lost his son and half his body for the throne she pushed him on, so that she can walk away from the mess she made?! Worst. Mother. EVER.

Considering Jaces age, I’m actually impressed with his maturity. Yes there was a lot of brooding and questioning but he’s earned the right to ask what he has. He is loyal and he loves the realm. He wants to serve his mother and queen and elevate the family. I think he’s got potential and I hope his character gets a good arc next season. I think Larys has something to do with whatever happened to Otto. Hoping Daeron breathes some life in to the greens next season. Alice ya arc was dropped on its goofy head. Christian Cole’s character had no decent arc either. But that’s what happens when the studio suits force the writers to rewrite a 10 ep season in to 8 in a matter of 40 days. Also, I’ve said this in lots of reaction comments but Sheepsteeler is so crazy looking! He looks like he smokes camel no filters and listens to death metal. Tessarion is beautiful but she grew up with no other dragons and is still so young at only 16. She is going to be the dragon version of season one Sansa Stark.

I was underwhelmed by this season so i hope next season they show everything they cut out by cutting this season down 2 episodes. I did like the last 5 minutes with that awesome music. B.S finale ngl. the whole season (minus the fight at rooks rest) was a setup for the next season 2 years down the line. out of the 8 episodes... you could take 4 or 5 of them and summarize them into one without missing a beat. so many wasted screen time on things that DONT MATTER. corlys velaryon apparently only walks up and down the docks for a whole season the criston lovestory and perma brooding the useless scenes between rhaenyra and alicent at the scept and then at dragonstone... i mean seriously? all these people have been killed and ish and you are just going back and forth in order to do what? the war is happening you already knew it... you want nothing to change... you are supposed to hate each other and you keep saying "well maybe if...." NOPE. nothing. waste of time. only a couple pieces moved and the part of Daemon fighting his inner demons(altho they should make it shorter... we got it the first two times) if felt like a season where the writing was mostly off... cuz they wanted to stall in order to keep milking. there is not enough story for 4 seasons.
